“I love you too, angel. Always and forever.”
How did tonight go from the worst night of my life to the best?
Chapter Seven
Levi
The taste of Maya on my lips is better than any fantasy that’s plagued me for the past two years.
When we get to our room, I shut and lock the door before placing her on our bed. Her cheeks are flushed, and her curls are spread out over the pillows like a halo. My angel.
I would’ve taken her in her old room, right there beneath the stars, but even with the fire going, I knew it’d get too cold.
I want her warm and comfortable and focused on us instead of the freezing cold or the hardness of the ground.
She’s just as impatient as I feel as her fingers rush to unbuckle my belt. “My?” I ask between kisses as she fumbles to get it undone. Her hands are shaking so badly that I take them into my own.
“Yes?”
“Has anyone ever touched you before?”
Her sunset eyes spring open, and uncertainty clouds them as color floods the bridge of her nose.
“I need to know how to handle this,” I say, stroking her cheek.
“I haven’t done it before,” she says, her eyes trailing to the bed. “That isn’t a problem, right?”
I grasp her chin and force her to look up at me. “Why would being your first and last be a problem?”
“Because you always called me a kid.”
I know what she really means. She thinks I was calling her inexperienced as if that were a bad thing. But I didn’t know before today how badly the ‘kid’ thing affected her. Beau, Grant, and I all ganged up on her in the beginning, babying her at every turn. We saw it as pure affection, she saw it as us deeming her to be incapable. That couldn’t be farther from the truth.
“It’s just because I’m way older.” I reach for the hem of her shirt and pull it over her head, freeing her full breasts. They’re two perfect teardrops with dark pink nipples peaked like Hershey's kisses pointing straight at me. “But trust me. I can see that you’re not, and I promise to stop teasing you about it. You’re all woman, Maya. My woman.”
A flush crawls up her neck as I stare, utterly transfixed. She’s such a good girl, an angel, keeping her hands down at her sides and letting me drink my fill.
