Page 14 of Toxic Obsession

“Dude, you look so serious. It’s a fucking party.” Zeke, a sophomore teammate, handed me a red Solo cup nearly filled to the rim with a brown liquid.

My eyebrows shot up. “What is it?”

“Rum and Coke. Drink up and chill.” Zeke slapped me on the back before he joined a group dancing in the middle of the living room. The crowd jumped up and down to the beat of “Welcome to My Life” by qwinn while I kept an eye out for the one and only Wynter Baldwin. The details of Wynter’s life bombarded my mind, causing a toxic hatred for a girl I hadn’t met to churn inside me.

But she’s gorgeous.

I reminded myself to get her an invite to the society, but then thought maybe I should just kidnap her.Fuck, I sound like Adam.Disgusted with myself, I focused on looking for her again.

“Don’t do it,” Kane said, easing up next to me. “Whatever is going through that thick skull of yours, just don’t do it.” He took a drink from the blue Solo cup in his hand, then nodded at his girlfriend, Brie, who was dancing with the other girls on the cheer squad.

I smirked. “Night out, huh?”

“Yeah, Brie was excited to spend time with her friends. Our lives have changed so much.” Kane grinned at me as though he’d won the lotteryandalready been signed to play pro ball.

“No shit.” My breath hitched in my throat as a tall dude moved to the side and I finally spotted Wynter.

She was dancing with Gabby and Everlee, her hair flying around her face as she threw her hands up in the air and shook her ass. My dick hardened on the spot, her pictures with the other guys moving front and center into my mind.

“Does Brie know the new girl that’s living with Gabby, Everlee, and Leighton?” I stared straight ahead, not wanting Kane to witness my expression in case I slipped up and he realized that I was interested in Wynter. The longer I glowered at her the more pissed off I became. Kane would check my shit, and I wasn’t in the mood. He had no idea what she’d done. What had happened. I would never tell him why, either.

“She has her in a class, I think, and she also knows her through Gabby. Brie said she’s nice but a bit standoffish.” Kane drained his cup, then eyed me. “Since being able to both get out at the same time has been rare lately, we’ve decided to make the most of tonight. We’ll grab an Uber and head to the Black Widow Society, then Uber home later.”

“Drink up and get buzzed then, motherfucker.” I laughed and slapped the back of my hand on his chest.

“Oh, I am.” Kane tossed his empty cup in one of the many trashcans placed around the house. “So, what’s up with you and Wynter? Need an intro or something?”

I pursed my lips together, then spotted my opening. “Nah, I think I got what I need.” I pushed off the wall and elbowed my way through the crowd and to the coffee table.

Wynter had hopped up on it and was lip syncing to “Call it Love” by Felix Jaehn and Ray Dalton. The guys around her moved back to give her more room and watched while she busted out some serious dance moves without missing a word.

My cock strained against my jeans as I took in the denim shorts grazing her ass cheeks and a mostly see-through top clinging to her like a second skin. Fucking stunning. So much for standoffish. Apparently, if she got a little alcohol in her, she was ready to go.

Reaching the table, I glanced up at her and gave her a panty-dropping smile. Her eyes widened as she spotted me, then Wynter stumbled over her words. I reached out and she tucked her long hair behind her ear, took my hand, and assisted me up.

I stood next to her and threw my arms wide, joining in the lip syncing.

She licked her lips, staring at the obvious bulge in my jeans as I continued to move my hips in a slow, seductive circle. The girls cheered for more as I motioned for Wynter to join in.

Wynter sank her teeth into her plump lower lip, then strutted over to me and eased her leg between mine. I took her cue, slipping my arm around her waist and pulling her close.

“You’re new to Whitmore.” My hand trailed down to her ass cheek, giving it a little squeeze.

“I am. It’s been a busy first few weeks, but I’m ready to have some fun tonight.” She winked at me, full of confidence.

“I can definitely help you with that. I’m Quinn by the way.”

“I’m Wynter, and I’ll think about it.” Wynter laughed as she threw her arms up, riding my leg as we danced. Shit, she was hot. For just a few minutes, I forgot my plan to ruin her and just enjoyed her body writhing against mine.

The song ended, and I flashed Wynter a lazy smile. “Want a drink first, or …?”

Her gaze traveled from my football jersey down to my crotch. “Fuck first. We can drink during intermission.”

There was a slight slur to her words, and I wondered if she was drunk or just buzzed. Maybe she could hold her liquor well. I couldn’t help but chuckle. I liked the way her mind worked. “Follow me.” Taking her hand, I helped her off the table, then led her through the crowd and up the set of stairs to the bedrooms.

“Is this your house?” she asked, trailing behind me.

“Yeah. My younger brother and I live here. When the parental unit is gone, I throw parties. He’s an investment banker and travels a lot.” I pushed open my bedroom door. “After you, gorgeous.” My plan was working out perfectly. I’d fuck her so good she wouldn’t be able to stay away from me. Over the next few weeks, I would walk her to class, take her out, and pretend to fall for her. Hopefully by then she would reciprocate. Then, I would strike.
