Page 129 of Hollywood Comes Home

Standing, I spun around, backing onto his lap. He groaned in frustration, trying once again. I gripped his hands, placing them on my hips. I hoped that was enough for him. Peeking at the camera, I tried to signal I was getting uncomfortable, hoping someone saw me.

Slowly, I circled my rear into his lap, bending back against his chest. My long hair cascaded down the front of his body as I reached back, tugging on his overly gelled black hair gently. He pressed my hips down, crushing himself hard against my bottom.

Jumping up, I spun to him. “You can’t grind on me, either. Now you will have to only watch.”

Stepping onto the platform, I held the pole, hooking my leg around it. He sprung off the sofa, grabbing my wrist and yanking me off the platform. Like a rag doll, I flopped, losing my balance in my tall heels.

“You think I’m stupid, bitch?”

“What?!” I attempted to look shocked.

“Amber, I’m not a fucking idiot you can play, but I am going to make sure you pay.”

“Leave her the fuck alone!” Chance emerged from the curtain the staff used to enter the rooms when serving clients.

The man jumped back, throwing my wrist at the sight of Chance holding a pistol aimed at him. A malicious sneer spread across his face.

“The actor? Chance Hardwin? Really?” He chuckled. “Haven’t you already been shot once? It’d be a shame if I had to shoot you again.” Raking his eyes up and down Chance, he snorted. “Looks like you just recovered from the first one.”

He is the guy who shot Chance?! I wanted to punch him. Rage boiled inside me.

Chance was fuming as well. “Get the fuck away from my fiancée, you mother fucki—”

“Enough!” Ian shouted.

I spun around toward the entrance. He and Luke had snuck in quietly from the hallway. I sighed in relief.

The man lifted his hands slowly, shaking his head before turning to me. “You actually did have me with that drink spill, you stupid cun—”

“Shut up!” Luke grabbed my hand, yanking me to the side. “Get her out of here.”

Chance nodded, lowering his gun. Clutching my arm with his free hand, he hauled me from the room without a word. He remained silent until we were outside the dressing room. “We need to go.”

I nodded, averting my gaze to the floor as I stepped into the room, gathering my belongings. The moment I walked into the corridor, he took my bag, throwing it over his shoulder. Placing his arm around me, he led me to the car at a hurried pace with Dragon at his other side.

I slid into the passenger seat of Chance’s red Mercedes AMG, watching our surroundings. Dragon hopped into a black BMW car next to ours, waiting. As Chance drove out of the parking lot, I laid my head on the window, shutting my eyes.

“Hey, baby.” He reached over, caressing my leg. “You okay?”

“Yeah, just ready for something normal again.”

“You did great tonight.” He circled my delicate skin with his thumb. “Why don’t we get in bed early and tomorrow, we can plan something normal?”

“That sounds perfect to me. Hopefully, that’ll be possible with tonight seemingly blowing up.”

“I’ll make certain of it.”

Milliseconds after we passed through an intersection,CRASH!The loudest collision I’d ever heard exploded behind us. The reflection of flames manifested outside. Chance slammed on breaks.

“Oh no. Fuck!” He threw his car door open, jumping out. “No!”

I couldn’t get my seatbelt off fast enough as I fumbled with it. Finally, it came unhooked, and I flew out of the car to see Dragon had been T-boned by a large garbage truck.

“NOOO!” Chance roared at the top of his lungs, doubling over. “Dragon! Enzo!” He ran toward the accident.

I grabbed his arm, forcing him away from the fiery wreckage with every ounce of my strength. There was no way he’d have survived it. If the impact didn’t kill him, the fire would’ve. Chance shoved me to the side, yanking his phone from his pocket. He scrolled before placing it to his ear.

Hey sorry to call you so late, but… accident… Ian’s at the club handling some… thing. He could barely speak. He was shaking violently. My bodyguard has just been killed in a car accident… I can’t… here’s Amber.
