Instinctively, I wrapped my legs around his body. He walked me over to the bed and laid me back on the mattress. Slithering his fingertips into the top of my panties, he slid them off. With my legs draped over his shoulders, he buried his face into my mound. He teased my clit with his tongue and plunged three fingers into me with no warning.

Arching my back, I let out a loud moan. “Holy shit, that feels so good.” My palms gliding through his hair, I yanked his face tighter against me.

He curled his fingers, massaging my G-spot, nibbling my sensitive button with his teeth. “Do you like the way that feels, baby?”

“Mmhmm.” Just when I could barely catch my breath and the walls of my sheath tightened, he abruptly pulled away.

Towering over the bed with his muscular frame, he stared down at me, his stubble glistened with my juices. He unbuttoned his shirt and dropped it to the floor. Then he unbuttoned and unzipped his slacks and freed his erect cock. It bobbed back and forth as he kneeled between my legs, never taking his thirsty gaze off mine.

Lowering his lips to my chest, he bit and licked my nipples, lining the tip up with my entrance. My breath hitched when he abruptly plunged deep inside me with no warning, bottoming out. A loud cry evaded my lips, but he cut me off with a kiss. He continued to show me no mercy, striking my tongue with his, demanding control over me as always. I dissolved into his touch, giving him the power he so craved.

Hands pressed to the bed on either side of my head, he pushed up, ramming himself into me as hard as his stamina would allow. “Cum for me, bella.”

I raked my nails down his chest and ab muscles, then dug my fingers into his flexed biceps. I loved the way his chiseled body hovered over me. He felt so powerful and flawless. He gazed deep into my eyes as we both panted and exploded together. I could barely catch my breath. After a few moments of nothing but the sound of our breathing, he pressed his lips to mine, then slid out and collapsed next to me.

Silver was a swanky bar with the ambiance of a cigar and whiskey lounge meets the boardroom. It wastheplace to go after work. The drinks were overpriced but potent, which made them worth every penny. Frequently, it was crowded with his wealthy friends, who often stopped by for a drink on the way home from their own offices.

On the rooftop was a restaurant called Gold; a five-star dining establishment that offered picturesque, panoramic views of New York City. It was exorbitant as well, but the restaurant was one of his favorites before we met and had become mine as well.

When the car came to a stop in front of the building, Valentino reached over and took my hand in his. “Why are we here?”

“Dinner at Gold.”

I got out on my side, and Noah closed the door.

Valentino joined me and laid his hand on my lower back as we made our way to the entrance. The doorman bowed his head, greeting us cheerfully as we entered the bar’s lobby. Valentino put me in front of him, escorting me up the stairs.

“Isabelle, this is hardly normal to you,” he muttered under his breath.

I ignored him until we got to the top of the steps then I spun around to face him. “This is my normal now. Just knowing you tried is enough. You were more than willing to compromise your standards to suit me. Maybe compromise our health a little too at that hotel,” I giggled, “but anyway, you trying was enough for me.” I grasped his lapel and stood on my toes, giving him a small peck on his lips. “Maybe we can go to a baseball game or something soon. No suite, just seats next time.”

The corner of his lips twisted up. “Deal.” Believe it or not, I do love ballpark nachos.”

I let out a snicker. When I turned around to follow the hostess, I noted most everyone’s gaze was on us as we waltzed through the restaurant to our table.

“Pay them no mind,” Valentino whispered. “They’ll get over it.”

Throughout dinner, we could not take our eyes off one another. Joseph and Noah remained near the stairs keeping watch for any sign of a threat, though I thanked God the biggest threat of them all was now gone. Several times, Valentino took his phone from his inside jacket pocket, silencing the ringer, and hid it away again.

“What’s on your mind?” he asked.

“Just thinking about visiting your parents soon.”

“What about it?”

“Do you think Elise and Carissa will come?”

He set his glass down, shrugging a shoulder. “I don’t see why not. As long as they don’t show up with the new man, it’ll be fine.”

“Do you think Marco would do anything to make it difficult?”

An amused expression appeared on his face. “Baby, Marco is capable of anything. Nice or not, he’s a ticking time bomb, just like Alessio.” He gnawed the inside of his cheek.

“What?” I took a bite of my parmesan-crusted rosemary chicken and wiped my mouth with the linen napkin.

“Sometimes I just think I’m the only normal person in my family.”

I let out a loud cackle, causing the several onlooking diners to peek over once again. “You’ve never been anything close to normal.”
