Marco lowered his gaze, disgusted. “Motherfucker!” He stomped on Felipe’s bound, exposed foot, crushing it into the concrete.

Felipe let out a blood-curling scream that I would have never thought he was capable of.

Blaine and Noah stood close to my weapon’s table, ready to present me with whatever I needed. Joseph and William observed nearby. I wanted to prolong his torture, but I also wanted him dead as soon as possible. I held out my hand. Reading my mind, Blaine placed my pistol with a silencer in my palm.

“I asked myself how long I would play with you before I was nice enough to let you die.”

He remained silent, sneering up at me as if he planned to kill me the minute he escaped.

I pointed the gun at his head, grinning for a moment before lowering it and aiming at his lap. Before I could shoot him, Marco stepped in front of me and drew his foot back. He lunged it forward into Felipe’s chest. He gasped, then coughed, trying to catch his breath. Marco stepped out of the way.

BANG!

The bullet pierced his groin. He bellowed at the top of his lungs, thrashing back and forth against the wall he was confined to. The sound of the chains clanking against the floor with the echo of the pop was satisfying.

I handed Blaine the gun. He traded it for brass knuckles, laying two sets in my palm. I slid them onto my fingers on each hand and sauntered closer to Felipe. Looming over him, I smiled, knowing how much pain he was in. Before he bled out, I wanted to make him feel as much agony as possible.

I drew my left fist back and punched him, followed by the right. I continued to plummet his face, making him completely unrecognizable after delivering at least ten blows. He fell limp after the third, but I did not stop. Finally, I stood, backing away, letting the weapons fall to the floor. They bounced several times out of the way. I held my hand out again.

Blaine gave me back my gun. I stood over Felipe’s lifeless body with him between my legs. He may have already been dead at that point, but I was taking no chances. I pressed the muzzle to his head.

BANG! BANG!

Then, I pushed it to the center of his chest.

BANG!

I stood, taking several steps back, and handed Blaine the firearm once again. He gave me a towel. As I wiped my hands off, I looked at William to check for a pulse.

“I doubt he lived through that, but okay.” He stepped over Felipe, grabbing his wrist, then holding his fingers to his neck. “He’s gone.”

Those words echoed in my ears like a breath of fresh air. I rejoiced inside for not only us, but Isabelle could finally live in true peace without having to worry about him hurting her ever again.

“I need to go shower.” It was all I could utter before I left them to clean up the mess.

I did not realize until I got to the elevator, but Marco had followed me. The moment we stepped in, I examined his face for the first time since he had arrived. He had a black eye.

“What happened to you?”

“Someone was caught cheating in Alessio’s casino, so I took care of it for him. The dude got in a hit, though.”

“Well, I’m going to need you to stay out of trouble for the next couple of months.”

“Why is that?”

“You’re coming with us to see the family.”

“What?!”

The elevator doors opened, and we stepped out.

“No, I’m not ready.”

“I don’t give a shit whether you are or not.” I snapped. “Carissa, Elise, and our parents deserve to know you’re alive. You can’t keep hiding like this.”

“I’m not hiding.”

I stopped in the hallway, spinning to him. “Bullshit. You have done so well to make up for all the shit you caused. Now you need to fix the rest of it.”
