Colbie had made a playlist for the occasion and turned it on, placing her phone on the other bedside table, and turning it down, so it filtered lightly in the background.
When Dallis came out of the bathroom, Colbie was seated against the headboard. She turned her attention to look at him as he took her in, making his way to stand at the end of the bed.
She’d been sitting with her legs in front of her, crossed at the ankles. Colbie separated them, spreading them apart, and placed her feet flat on the bed, bending her knees. She watched Dallis lick his lips before removing the towel around his waist and tossing it to the side.
Dallis made his way up the bed, his hand going between her legs, slowly teasing her slit with one of his fingers.
“Do I get to tie you up?” he questioned, gesturing towards the rope.
“Mm, I was thinking more along the lines of me tying you up,” she responded, moaning softly as she leaned in and nipped his bottom lip.
Dallis dipped a finger inside of her before using it to circle her clit. “If that’s what you want, baby.”
“It is,” Colbie countered. “Lie down for me.”
“In a minute,” Dallis responded, sliding back on the bed. He grabbed Colbie’s thighs and pulled her to lie down, leaning in to circle his tongue around her clit. “Let me taste this pussy first.”
How was Colbie supposed to say no to that? Even when she’d planned on being the one calling the shots. It shouldn’t have surprised her, though. Dallis always ensured she got hers several times before he ever got his, and even though she wanted to cater to him tonight, she knew that he would do the exact same to her. She knew it was going to be a hell of a Valentine’s day weekend.

Dallis wished that he could be happy for spring break. That he could have taken Colbie somewhere, and they could have spent the week together. However, his English teacher had decided that everyone he taught needed to suffer, assigning them a book and paper that was due when they returned on Monday after the break. Dallis had never contemplated murder until he’d heard about the assignment but resigned himself to the fact that jail would keep him away from his girlfriend, and he didn’t want that.
He was sitting on the couch with a highlighter, marking things of interest that would fit the theme of the paper he’d been assigned to write. The plus side was that they’d been able to choose the book they wanted from the list his teacher had put on the board. Instead of taking the school’s copy of the book, Dallis bought his own. He could write his papers faster if he could mark the book as he read.
It was day two into the break, and Dallis figured if he could finish the book that night, write his paper Wednesday, edit it and have his mom read it Thursday, he could spend the last three days of the break with Colbie. His mother was currently beside him, reading the same book. She did that every time he had to write a paper on a book in English class. He knew it was so she could give him informed feedback on his papers since he always asked her to read them.
Dallis wasn’t sure how long they’d been sitting there reading when the doorbell rang. He went to get up to answer it, but his mother stopped him, placing her book down.
“You keep reading. I got it,” she informed him.
Dallis turned his attention to his book as he heard his mother open the door. He didn’t hear her greeting to the person, but the voice he heard in response had him taking his feet from where they’d been hung over the arm of the couch and sitting up.
“Mrs. Banks, my name is Will Dean.”
What the fuck was this man doing at his house?Better yet, Colbie told Dallis that Will didn’t stay in town, so why was he at his door right now? Dallis ran through all the places he’d taken Colbie and was sure Will hadn’t been there. He knew he hadn’t seen Dallis at Colbie’s house when he showed up at Christmas a few months ago.
“What can I do for you, Mr. Dean?” Dallis listened to his mother’s question. Everything in him wanted to make his way to the door and demand that Will get the fuck off their property because if he was there to threaten him, Dallis wasn’t having it.
“It’s more so what I can do for you.” Dallis heard Will say as he stood, making his way towards the hallway. “It’s about your husband. I have reason to believe he’s cheating on you.”
That caused Dallis to pause before stepping into the hallway. What the hell is he talking about? There was no way in hell that was happening. His dad had been whipped for his mother since they’d met. So much so that it rivaled the way Dallis knew he was whipped for Colbie.
“I’m sorry?” His mother questioned.
“I stopped to visit a friend, and I saw his car parked in front of her house,” Will responded. “The blue one. I…had a friend run the plates, and they came back to your husband.”
As Dallis listened, he put two and two together. He was aware that Will had seen his car in front of Colbie’s, but he hadn’t thought the other man would go through the trouble of trying to track the owner down. Since Dallis got the car for his sixteenth birthday, it was in his father’s name. So, it made sense that Will assumed it had been his dad at Colbie’s house.
His mother hummed in acknowledgment. “I see.” Dallis knew she’d figured it out as well. “And just for clarification, this friend of yours, what’s their name?” His mother then questioned.
“Colbie Morris.” Will paused. “I normally wouldn’t get into someone else’s business.”
“I’m sure.” His mother replied sarcastically, but Dallis knew Will missed it.
“But I don’t think she knows he’s married, and I don’t want to see her hurt or you being in the dark.”
At that moment, Dallis heard a car door close and his dad’s voice a few seconds later. “What’s going on?”
