Going up to his room, Dallis fell backward on his bed. He didn’t have any homework. Well, none that he felt like doing at that moment. So, instead, he decided to take his phone out and text Colbie.
Dallis: Hey, beautiful.
Wife: Hey, Dallis.
Dallis: Wyd?
Wife: Nothing, just watching a movie.
Dallis: Hmm...I miss you. Send me a pic.
Dallis sat his phone down beside him, looking up at the ceiling. When a few minutes passed, he figured she wasn’t going to send him one. However, his phone vibrated. Picking it up, he opened the message. He couldn’t help but shake his head in disbelief at how alluring his woman was.

Dallis: Why are you so fucking gorgeous?
Dallis decided to send a picture of his own back.

Sitting up, he pulled his shirt over his head and threw it toward his hamper. He picked up the remote to turn on the television but stopped. Deciding he would much rather hear Colbie’s voice. He picked his phone back up to FaceTime her.
When she answered, he smiled at her. He didn’t miss how her eyes took him in, and he figured she was surprised he wasn’t wearing a shirt.
“You like what you see, gorgeous?” he questioned. He watched her bite her lip, but she didn’t answer him. “You know I don’t think it’s fair that I’m shirtless and you aren’t,” he told her with a smirk.
She rolled her eyes at him. “Be quiet, Dallis.”
For the next hour, he talked to her. There was a lull in their conversation when Dallis remembered his discussion with Harper and what Hayden said. The last thing he wanted was for Colbie to hear that little rumor that Harper had told her friends. He knew how high school was. The teachers even became aware of gossip and rumors. The same way the students did. If anybody was going to tell her, it would be him.
“Hey, babe,” he called, gaining her attention. “After school today, this girl stopped me on my way to my car. She’s been asking me out, and I’ve been turning her down, but today apparently, she told her friends she was going to go out with me this weekend. That is NOT true.”
“Okay.”
“I’m serious, baby. I told her I wasn’t interested and had a woman.”
“I believe you, Dallis.”
“Good,” Dallis told her as his stomach growled. Looking over at the clock, he saw that it was after eight. “I’m going to go get something to eat. Now, blow Daddy a kiss.”
“You are not my Daddy,” she told him.
“Hmm... we’ll see about that,” He responded. “Bye, beautiful.”
“Bye, Dallis,” She replied, blowing him a kiss. He was sure she didn’t even realize she had done it as they hung up with each other.
Going downstairs, he went into the kitchen to find his dad pinning his mom against the island, kissing her neck.
“Why is this the place you choose to start your nastiness?” he questioned, going to the fridge and pulling some leftovers from the night before.
“I pay the bills here. If I want to start my ‘nastiness’ in your room, I will.” His dad told him, taking his wife’s hand and heading out of the kitchen. “Cock blocking ass.” His dad then stated.
“Whatever, Old Man,” Dallis responded, putting his food in the microwave with a smirk. He did enjoy cock blocking his dad now and then.
Taking his food and a bottle of Gatorade into his room, he ate while doing the homework he had put off, thinking more about what he would plan for him and Colbie to do in the coming weekend. Though Dallis admittedly was going to try to do her. The question was, however, was she going to let him?
