Dallis gripped her hand in his, running his thumb along her knuckles. “Relax. You worry too much, gorgeous.”

He listened to her sigh before she went back to disinfecting his knuckles.

She placed everything back into the kit when she finished and made her way into the kitchen. When she came out, she had an ice pack. She handed it to him, and he grabbed her, pulling her into his lap.

“What do you say to me staying with you tonight?” he questioned.

“What will you tell your parents? That may not be a good idea.”

“You didn’t have an issue with it two weeks ago when I stayed after fucking you to sleep,” he reminded her.

She shifted in his lap, and Dallis did his damnedest to keep himself in check. He was still mad, and his father’s words played in his head.

“I’ll tell my parents I’m staying at Hayden’s house. Okay?”

She nodded at him, and he moved her off of his lap. Eventually, he would have to tell her his parents already knew about her, but he figured he could wait a bit longer until she was more comfortable.

“I’m going to go get some clothes. I’ll be back in a little bit,” he told her. Colbie nodded her response, and Dallis leaned down and kissed her forehead.

As he walked out of the door, he decided that he would spend the weekend with her. He had an English paper due that he needed to work on Monday and Tuesday, and she would be leaving Wednesday to visit her family.

He had plans, however, to take her out somewhere after Thanksgiving. They hadn’t gone on another date outside the house since he took her to the carnival. And though she had said she didn’t mind because she was a homebody, he wanted to do something with her. He just had to figure out what and where so she wouldn’t be uncomfortable.

As he pulled into his driveway, he focused on calming down. There was no way he would spend the weekend with her and not fuck her. He didn’t want to hurt her as his father thought he would, so Dallis would use the time he was packing to calm down. They hadn’t had sex since he’d found her out with another man, which was far too long in his book, but they both had been focusing on school—her with grading and him with projects.

He was going to remedy that, though. He was going to make up for lost time over the weekend and hurt her in all the ways he had discovered that Colbie loved.

Colbie sighed as she prepared to ring the doorbell at her mother’s house. She’d gotten into town last night and decided to stay at a hotel instead of her mother’s.

She rang the doorbell and waited. There was noise on the other side of the door, and when it opened, she came face to face with her sister.

“Hey, Colbie.” Her older sister greeted, pulling her in for a hug.

“Hey, Cameron.”

When they pulled away, she stepped inside. She heard the sound of little feet coming towards them and looked to see her niece coming their way. Colbie squatted down as the little girl ran into her arms. Standing, she spun around twice, causing the four-year-old to laugh.

“Tee Tee, Colbie!” The child exclaimed excitedly.

“Cassie, you’ve gotten so big,” Colbie told her as she heard her sister close the front door.

“I grew a whole inch!”

“I can tell. You’re going to be taller than me before long.”

“Cass, baby, let Colbie take her jacket off and put her purse down, okay?” Cameron told her daughter, and the little girl wiggled out of Colbie’s arms.

She then took off her jacket, hanging it and her purse on the coat rack. She was just about to ask her sister if their brother was there when he came walking down the hall.

“I didn’t think you’d show,” he told her with a smile.

“I almost didn’t.” She smirked back.

“Hey, if you want to escape the madness before it starts, I’m all for helping you run away as long as you take me with you.”

“Drew, don’t encourage her,” Cameron spoke.
