“This is considered stalking,” Colbie told Will.

“I was simply walking by and saw you sitting here.”

“I call bullshit,” she countered.

Will cocked his head at her, probably surprised that she had called him out on his shit. She used to ignore it and go on about her business. Colbie didn’t feel the need to now, and she was hungry. So, honestly, she didn’t have the patience.

They stared at each other for several minutes. Colbie didn’t even break her stare when the server returned with her drink and asked if Will wanted to order. Colbie told the young man he wouldn’t be staying and asked for a few more minutes to look at the menu.

She was just about to tell him to get his ass up and leave when a voice from her left had her freezing.

“Hey, Ms. Morris.”

Colbie knew precisely who it was before turning to look. When she did, she found Dallis standing with two other young men. She recognized one of them as a student from the school, but she didn’t know the other.

“H-Hey Dallis,” she responded, wishing at that moment that she had ordered an alcoholic drink.

“Colbie, are these some of your students?” Will questioned.

“Um...”

“We shouldn’t have interrupted your dinner,” Dallis stated, his green eyes solely on her. “Get home safe, Ms. Morris.”

Colbie watched the three of them walk away. Once outside the door, Dallis turned to look at her through the window. Those green eyes pierced her before he turned and walked off with the other two.

Colbie shifted in her seat before placing some money on the table to cover her drink. His words had been obvious to her. He may have said for her to get home safe, but he meant to get home now. There was no mistaking it. It was in the way he said the words.

Getting up, she placed some money on the table and headed towards the door. She was walking down the sidewalk when she felt a hand on her arm.

“Colbie, wait.”

“Will, I’m going home.”

“Why? You didn’t even eat.”

“Because you showed up. Now, I’m going to go home.”

“Okay, look. I’m sorry. We didn’t end on great terms, but I was hoping we could talk and clear the air.”

“There’s nothing to talk or clear the air about.”

Getting in her car, she closed the door and started it. She pulled out of the parking lot and in the opposite direction from her house. She drove around for a little bit making sure Will wasn’t following her. He had proved he had stalker tendencies when he showed up at the restaurant.

When she finally pulled up in front of her house, her heart began to beat rapidly. She passed Dallis’ car on the side of the road by her mailbox. She paused when she got out of her car and headed to her doorstep. Dallis was sitting there, and he looked damn good, but his eyes told her he wasn’t happy at that moment. She knew she was in trouble.

Dallis leaned back in the chair he occupied. His dad and uncles had put him, Arsyn, and Hayden in charge of the two new apps they were platforming. He didn’t mind. He liked working on their own projects. They were responsible for coming up with three different advertisements for both apps. They were deciding which of the current appsCyberperformed platform services for to use for the initial advertisements.

“So, Hayden. How’s it going with your neighbor? What was her name?”

“Evin. Honestly, it’s not going. I still haven’t made the first move. I’m not sure when I’m going to make it.”

“Hmm,” Dallis hummed, rubbing his chin. “Just go over to her house, knock on the door and kiss her.”

“Yeah, he’s not going to do that,” Arsyn stated, leaning back in his chair and placing his hands behind his head.

“I’m just still trying to get a workable plan in order. You know it’s different for each of us,” Hayden told them.
