He puts Liam and my stepdad to shame.

Fuck…King knows what he’s doing.

I strangle his head with my thighs as he sucks my clit between his teeth with vicious intensity. King eats me out as if he wants to erase Liam’s—or any other man’s—touch from my memory. He licks, sucks, and nibbles until he’s all I can see and feel.

Oh, fuck, the sensation of his prickly stubble on my most sensitive part.

I come.

But the asshole isn’t done.

He grips my thighs, pries me open, and tongue fucks me until I squirt my release.

What is it now? The third?

By the time he’s done feasting on my pussy, the sun is rising in the distance, the birds are waking up, and Cassie’s mom’s alarm clock goes off in the room next door.

Only then does he sneak out, leaving me in my own ruins with his bite marks on my thighs.

I’m in the girl’s changing room after PE, staring at the pile of clothing on the bench. It was the last lesson of the day. I know Keira has plans with Liam after school, and it’s been eating away at me all fucking day. This festering jealousy inside me is growing stronger by the day. I don’t know how to shift it.

But the lines are blurring.

I scan the changing room. Everyone else is gone. It’s so typical of Keira to ignore common fucking sense and be alone while there’s a killer on the loose.

Nothing ever fucking fazes her.

I grab her clothes and towel before I can talk myself out of it.

I’m a bitch.

A two-faced bitch who’s willing to sabotage my own best friend if it means I can have her boyfriend to myself.

Stuffing her things into my backpack, I bolt.

With my head down, I hurry to the parking lot. There’s a small niggle of guilt inside me, while I toss my backpack into the trunk before rounding the car. Though it’s not strong enough for me to go back. Maybe Liam will finally have enough and dump her when she fails to turn up for their date.

“Why are you looking so sketchy?” Madison asks behind me as I slide my keys into the lock.

I jump, dropping them to the ground. After bending down to retrieve them amongst the stray leaves that have blown across the parking lot, I straighten up and brush my hair out of my eyes. “You scared me.”

Madison looks different without her pink puffer jacket. I let my eyes drift over her black body warmer and pink bobble hat. It’s cold as fuck, and my own winter jacket is doing little to ward off the icy breeze.

Madison stares at me for a moment longer before scanning her eyes across the parking lot. “Where’s Keira?”

“Why would I know?” I ask a little too defensively. Schooling my features, I slide my key back into the lock. “I haven’t seen her.”

“Why are you out here by yourself when the killer is still out there?”

“I could say the same about you,” I point out, opening the door.

“I’m not alone.” She lifts her chin toward the school entrance, where Hazel is skipping down the front steps. “We’re heading to Blackwoods Bay. Want to tag along?”

“It’s freezing,” I answer her, strands of my hairs getting caught in my lip gloss.

Madison peers over at Hazel as she jogs to catch up with us, her cheeks stained red from the cold. “Liam is meeting Keira there.”

I narrow my eyes on her but don’t reply.
