He shakes his head, chuckling. “No. I love my sister, and I especially love driving her crazy, but nobody gets to see you like this except for me and my pack mates.”

He pulls me closer, inhaling my scent, and I crane my neck back to give him better access. Knox strokes my arm in silent agreement with Cruz’s words, and I bask in the glow of their protectiveness and affection.

Except I do really need to actually clean up. I have to get back out there and spend time with Andrea and Ben will be wondering where I am.

“Okay, okay, seriously.” I laugh and playfully push them back. “How are we going to get me out of here?”

“I’ll ask Ben to show Andrea his toys,” Cruz says, stepping back. “We’ve definitely given him some new ones since she saw him last.”

He uses one of the dirty shirts to wipe himself up and throws it in the washing machine, then tucks himself into his pants and hurries out. Knox starts up the washing machine, then lifts me into his arms. My stomach swoops as I cling to him, wrapping my legs around his waist.

“Okay, let’s get you to the bathroom, angel.”

When we slip out of the laundry room, everyone’s gone from the kitchen. I can hear voices and laughter in the distance, coming from the play room. We’re in the clear.

Knox carries me to the bathroom, and I muffle my laughter against his shoulder as he gets us inside and locks the door. We clean up quickly, although part of me would love to draw it out and maybe see about a second round. My body is nearly insatiable. But I want to spend proper time with Andrea. She’s already staying at a hotel out of consideration for us, and I don’t want to take too much advantage of that or impose on her kindness even further.

We get cleaned up and then sneak back out, and find Cruz and Andrea playfully arguing over some incident from childhood and whose fault it was.

“Who’s hungry for dinner?” Miles asks, clapping his hands together like he’s trying to head off World War III at the pass, but he’s grinning, clearly in on the fun of it all.

“Oh, what are we making?” I ask.

Miles shakes his head while Lawson points at me sternly. “You are not making anything.”

“Hey now, we talked about this—”

“Yes, yes, you want to help out.” Lawson grins. “But Andrea’s over. You’re going to put your feet up and hang out with her while we take care of dinner. Don’t you do a damn thing.”

I look to Miles and Cruz for appeal, but they’re nodding in agreement with Lawson. I know better than to try Knox. He’s the one who wanted me to put my feet up in the first place. “You’re all impossible.”

“Of course we are.” Miles grins and kisses my cheek as he passes me. “That’s why you like us.”

I glare at them and Cruz laughs as he walks past. “There’s that sunshine girl I fell for.”

“Ha, ha, ha.”

The men hurry into the kitchen, and I know there’s no stopping them. I can’t possibly win an argument against all four of them when they get an idea in their heads like this.

I sink back onto the couch with a groan and Ben climbs up to join me. I hug him. “Your uncles are impossible, Benjamin.”

He nods solemnly, apparently in agreement with me.

“Sunshine?” Andrea asks.

“Oh, yeah.” I shrug, a hopeless smile spreading across my face. “Well, when Cruz and I first met it was after a game and I was headed around the back way to get to my car. I’d parked pretty far away. We ran into each other and he assumed I was a puck bunny trying to get into the back where the players were. I’d actually never seen a hockey game before that night, and I was going through a lot, so boy did I set him straight.”

“And he called you ‘sunshine’ because my brother’s a sarcastic shit.” Andrea laughs fondly. “That sounds about right.”

“Don’t tell him this, but I did think he was really hot when I ran into him. I just didn’t want him thinking I’d gone out of my way to try to sneak into the locker rooms or something.”

“I think he’s already figured out you thought he was hot,” Andrea points out. “You’re his Omega now, after all.”

Hearing her say that fills me with warmth. I am Cruz’s Omega, and Knox’s, and Lawson’s, and Miles’s. Forever, if they want me to be. If this courtship works out.

“Hey.” Andrea reaches out and takes my hand. “I want to say, thank you.”

“What for?”
