“Sure. There was indecent proposing to do, and I did not want to see that.” She smiled. “It is bad enough that I am going to get a recap. So, you can just turn around and go back to your seats. Find more club bunnies to play with.”

He leaned back. “I see. Well, you are in danger if you remain on this level. There are many alphas who would take advantage of—”

She held up her hand. “Do not say little omegas like you. I will barf on your pricey shoes. I haven’t been little since I was twelve.”

The swan on his right cracked a grin.

“Please, allow me to act as a bodyguard until your friends come to reclaim you. I promise to be on my best behaviour.”

“Does that just mean not licking your own junk in public?”

The raven on the right smirked.

She narrowed her eyes at him. “Don’t feel too smug, birdbrain. With that chick’s hand down your pants being removed suddenly, you might want to make sure your junk doesn’t have claw marks.”

His eyes widened. “Bird... wait... how do you know?”

She grimaced, flopped back on her couch, and grabbed her juice. “Begone, collective.” She flapped her hand at them in dismissal.

She was not surprised when Giovanni settled in next to her. “So, you know who we are.”

“I know what you are. I don’t give a fuck who you are.”

He trailed a finger over her shoulder. “But... something in you does.”

“Yes, but she is a bitch, and she’s getting a time-out. I will ground her when she gets home.”

The swan said, “You have a beast?”

“Sort of. She’s complicated.” She sipped her juice.

The raven squinted at her. His eyes went wide. “Do you have wings? I can sort of see wings.”

She coughed and blinked rapidly so she didn’t smear her makeup. The raven took her glass from her and set it aside after sniffing it. Giovanni rubbed her back slowly, and his hand moved up to her shoulder. She gasped and grabbed his hand as he swept her hair to the side.

“Holy shit.” Giovanni muttered, “Tom, Rick, look at this.”

She squirmed, but he held her by the neck. “You have three seconds to look, and then you will regret it. One. Two. Three.” She let her beast loose as she surged to her feet. The wings sent them flying. She pulled her wings in and turned to them. Shock was on their features. “Congratulations. You are right. There are wings.”

She sent Ula a text and left the VIP section, moving through the crowd and leaving the building. They were going to keep coming closer, and her control was going to weaken with every step. She pulled out her phone and summoned a car. Eight minutes and she was out of here.

Giovanni blinked at the image of the woman seared into his retinas. “She’s an angel.”

Thomas grunted, and Richard exhaled, “Wow.”

Thomas sat up and looked around. “Wait. Where did she go?”

Giovanni got to his feet and looked over the railing. The sight of the midnight hair and creamy skin reaching the doorway chilled him. His mate was getting away. He paused and remembered what she had said and walked back to Walter’s office.

He rapped on the door and said, “Walter, I need to speak with you regarding your female guest in the VIP. She’s made a run for it.”

There was a distressed female sound, and the door was flung open. “What?”

“We got a little handsy, and she flung us off and left.”

The female with pastel hair sighed as she checked her phone. “She’s catching a rideshare and heading home.”
