“Shut up.”
“What? It’s only a suggestion. Jesus, you’re really fucking grumpy today, and here I thought you would have chilled out after you got some last—”
“If you say another fucking word, I’ll break your nose.”
I did not want Theia to think I’d been discussing the fact I’d slept with her last night with Edric. He’d made his own assumptions and there was no point in dissuading him. He was like a dog with a bone sometimes.
“So tetchy.”
“If you’re quite done pissing me off, I suggest you get the fuck out of my flat.”
“I haven’t finished eating!”
I huffed and turned away from him. Theia was staring at the two of us with a bemused expression on her face.
“I would apologise for him, but he never stops being a dick, so you’re just going to have to learn to live with it as I do.”
“I’m not a dick. Stop giving her a bad impression of me.”
“You’re doing a fine job of that on your own.”
We both ignored Edric’s sound of outrage as Theia leaned closer and placed her hand on my thigh.
“I like him,” she whispered.
“You’re the only one in this room who does.”
She smiled. Fuck, she was so beautiful. I wanted to take her back to bed and force those delicious sounds she made while she writhed below me. Considering I’d barely thought about sex in the past, the fact I wanted her so much was unsettling. I wasn’t sure what to make of these new urges and needs she brought out in me.
“Gil…”
“Mmm?”
“You have that look in your eyes.”
“What look?”
Her cheeks went pink, and she looked away.
“The same one you had last night before… you know.”
Our voices were low, but Edric was definitely listening. I leaned even closer to her, pressing my mouth to her ear.
“I’m thinking about last night and how I’d like to repeat it right now, but I can’t as Edric is here.”
I pulled away and caught the rather salacious look in her eyes. I’d momentarily forgotten how much Theia liked to be watched. Considering how much Edric was pissing me off, I decided he needed to be given an incentive to get out of my flat. He knew what he needed to achieve, so there was no reason for him to be here any longer.
“Are you done with that?” I asked, pointing at the half-eaten bagel in front of her.
“No.”
“That’s too bad.” I slipped off my stool and picked Theia up, tossing her over my shoulder. “You can finish it later.”
“Gil! What are you doing?” she squealed as I carried her across the living area and dumped her on my sofa.
I loomed over her, staring down at her flushed face.
“Repeating what I did to you last night.”
