“Close your eyes then.”

I almost rolled them but did as he told me. He moved behind me and directed me forward into the living area. We came to a stop, and Gil leant his chin on my shoulder as he wrapped his arms around me.

“Open them, Theia.”

Letting out a breath, my eyelids fluttered open. It took a second to register what was in front of me.

“Do you like it?”

My head turned so I could look at him.

“You bought me a pole.”

“I thought you would appreciate somewhere to practise. And I’ll admit, it’s for me too.”

I raised a brow.

“Does my big bad mafia boss want his girl to perform just for him?”

“Always.”

I pushed out of his arms and stepped over to the pole. It was in one corner of the room that housed Gil’s bookcases. There was a comfortable armchair nearby where he could sit and watch.

I grabbed a hold of the pole and spun around it. Whoever had installed it had made sure it was fully secured to the ceiling and floor. I looked at Gil and smiled.

“It’s perfect. Thank you.”

He came closer, reaching up to cup my face.

“Anything for you, my love. I want you to make this your home too. This is only the start. We’re going to build a whole life together.”

My insides flipped. Gil wanted forever with me. I already knew that, but hearing it always made me happy. He was just as invested in this relationship as I was.

“Oh yeah? What do you see this life including?”

He grinned and caught me up in his arms.

“You and me.” His hand dragged down my back. “The rest we can decide together in time. All I want is you, Theia.”

“I just want you too.”

He kissed me, making me feel safe and secure in his arms. It was my favourite place to be.

I was the one who pulled back when an idea came to mind. He’d got me a present. It was my turn to give him one in return.

“Go sit.”

I waved at the armchair. Gil licked his bottom lip, giving me a devious smile, but he did as I asked. I hurried away, stripping out of my coat and bag before wandering along to our bedroom. My clothes were gone soon after and I put my hair up in a ponytail before doing a couple of stretches.

When I came back out, he had moved the armchair, so it was facing the pole. His dark eyes roamed over my naked body, his lip curving up at the sight of me. He’d told me once he wanted to watch me dance when I had nothing on. Well, now I would make one of his fantasies come true after he’d brought so many of mine to life.

I got my phone out of my bag and put some music on, casting it to his speakers. Setting it down on the coffee table, I approached the pole. The routine I started was something new I’d been working on for a few weeks. Gil could be my sounding board when it came to my dances now we had the pole at home. Dancing had always been my favourite part of my job as much as I enjoyed the sex work part.

I began my routine, making sure to keep my eyes on Gil the whole time, watching his pupils dilate as I moved. The way he rubbed his hand across his thigh was the only indication this was turning him on. It might be weird to some people, but the fact he rarely showed emotion did something to me. It made me want to be good for him, then I got rewarded for it. Gil’s sexual rewards were the very best kind.

My body twisted around the pole as I bent back, putting all of my assets on show. Gil shifted in the armchair. I could tell he wanted to say something, but he kept silent. When I moved again, shifting my pose, he let out a low growl as if his control was beginning to fray around the edges. I didn’t say a word, merely continued twirling around the pole until I finished my routine. Then I jumped off the pole and stalked towards him. I leant over my man, placing my hands on the arms of the chair, swaying my body to the beat with every movement I made.

“Open your legs,” I demanded.
