“So, you do business with him?” Lennox questioned as he finally animated from his robotic shutdown.
“Yes. I’m working on the McGregor Pharmaceutical’s new office building,” I responded with pride. After all, it was a pretty big deal for me.
“Right. McGregor. I’m a surgeon at BHM, we have your pamphlets all over the office.” Lennox nodded like puzzle pieces had been put together. I really didn’t know what was up with him tonight.
“Well, it was nice talking to you, Conner.” Lennox pulled my hand up and kissed my wrist, and I smirked at him.
“Cullen,” Cullen corrected with a sneer.
“Right. Have a good night.” Lennox put his arm around my back and led me away.
I couldn’t help the giggle that slipped through as he continued to lead me to the hall by the restrooms. I had no idea where we were going, but I assumed Lennox wanted to get frisky. I had never done anything in public before, but I was down.
“Lennox, where are we going?” I questioned when he pushed open a closet door and pulled me inside.
“Did you ever date him?” Lennox growled, getting in my face.
“Who? Cullen?” I questioned, confused.
“Yeah, Cullen! Who the fuck else would I be talking about, Raven?”
“Hold the hell up. Who do you think you’re cussing at?” I put my hands on my hips. Unfortunately for me, with the low v-neck gown I was wearing, the motion made my breast more pronounced. My nipple rings were pushed against the soft gauzy fabric, and I knew Lennox could see the outline when his eyes flared with desire.
“Did you date, Cullen, Raven?” Lennox asked me again in a much calmer voice.
“No. Of course not. Cullen’s an even bigger asshole than you were.” I crossed my arms over my chest, knowing it was blocking his view.
Lennox frowned before pulling my arms to my side. He looked down at me; his blue eyes held a new emotion that I’d never seen on him.
“He was stroking your arm. I wanted to punch him in the face.” Lennox was still frowning, and I recognized the emotion…
“You’re jealous?” How was a man that looked like Lennox, who had had me six ways to Sunday, be jealous of Cullen McGregor? He was a troll compared to my husband.
“I’m possessive,” Lennox stated with a shrug of his broad shoulders. He really should’ve been a model instead of a surgeon. Lennox was a gorgeous man. I bit my lip as I admired his body in his blackBrionisuit. The fit was perfect, and the fabric caressed his body fabulously.
“Eyes up here, Mrs. Nash.” He snapped his fingers in front of my face, and I could feel my face flush with embarrassment.
“Cullen McGregor is a business associate. That’s it.”
“He was touching you. I was really close to whooping his ass.” Lennox could be so stubborn.
“You’re a surgeon, Lennox. You can’t go around punching people and damaging your hands.”
“Then you shouldn’t let men touch what’s mine,” He growled at me.
“I’m not an object you can own, Dr. Nash,” I stated, trying to be firm, but his body was distracting me.
“You’re my wife.” Lennox could sometimes be an unmovable force. We have spent the last week really getting to know one another, but I discovered once his mind was made up, that was it.
I sighed in frustration because this was not a battle I was about to fight in an art gallery closet. His possessive nature would take years of therapy to correct.
“I am your wife, and you are my husband. Now that that has been established, can we go back to the party? I haven’t gotten to speak to Sasha yet, and I really would like her to know I’m here to support her.” I rubbed my hand down his muscular chest with a seductive grin.
Lennox made me feel like a sex goddess. The way his eyes lit up with lust anytime I was near him, the way his nostrils would flare, and the way he worshiped my body when we made love; it was all very hedonistic.
“Depends,” Lennox’s deep voice rumbled.
“On what?”
