"Are you okay?"
"Yes," she says. "Uh...no, not really. Kind of. I've got some news for you."
"Why does that sound like it's about to ruin my whole fucking day?" I groan.
"It's that girl who came in--Olivia?" she says.
The car behind me lays on its horn. I didn't even realize the light had turned green, and I growl and pull over to the shoulder as I keep talking to her.
"What about her?"
"You're not gonna like this."
I shake my head to myself, hissing out a breath. "I already don't like this."
"Yeah..." Lex pauses. "She's not just some girl. She's Olivia Cruz."
I frown, searching my memory for why that sounds so familiar.
"Cruz," I repeat.
Then my stomach drops.
"No fucking way," I say.
"Yeah," Lex says. "She's the missing daughter of the chief of the ACB."
I'm glad I'm pulled over when I get that news. I snarl and lean my head against the steering wheel, resisting the urge to crush my phone in my hand.
"Fuck me," I mutter.
"Yeah, we've gotta offload her as fast as possible," Lex says. "Get her out of Solstice Bay and off of our hands...or maybe even move this up the line to Carson or Rafe..."
"If I can get her away from Liam and Phoenix," I tell her. "I'm headed their way now. I'll keep you updated."
I end the call and toss my phone onto the passenger seat, running a hand through my hair. This is not good. Not good at all. The ACB is already on our tail, and having their chief's missing daughter under our protection makes that so much worse. I need to get to Liam and Phoenix fast to figure out what the hell we're going to do.
I peel out of the shoulder and speed towards the yacht club, my mind racing with possibilities. Should we try to ransom her back to the ACB? Or maybe we could use her as leverage against them somehow? I don't know, but I know I need to get to Olivia before anyone else figures out who she really is.
Finally, I reach the old rundown yacht club and park. I jog towards the docks, scanning the boats. I spot our boathouse at the end of the pier and hurry towards it, hoping I'm not too late.
But it takes me all of five seconds to realize I'm definitely too late.
I can hear their moans from all the way down the dock, a sure sign that they've given into their desires--that her heat overwhelmed them. I never thought these guys would be the ones to break...but they have.
And the sounds, the scent...
I stop on the dock, clenching my fists at my side. I have to figure out what the hell I'm going to do with two horny alphas and an omega in heat. As long as they haven't marked her, we still have a chance of getting out of this in one piece.
I have to do all of this without losing control myself.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's about to happen. This is not going to be easy, but it's my job to keep things under control.
I walk down the dock towards the boathouse, my heart pounding in my chest. As I get closer, the sounds of pleasure grow louder, and I can smell Olivia's heat radiating off of her. It's intoxicating, and I have to fight the urge to give in to my own primal desires.
When I finally step inside the boathouse, I'm met with the sight of Liam and Phoenix both buried deep inside of Olivia, their bodies glistening with sweat. Olivia herself is moaning uncontrollably, lost in the throes of passion. I haven't seen anything like this in so long...since I lost my omega to the ACB years ago.
I thought I'd never meet someone who pulled me in like this again.
