“Come for me, Sofie. I know how close you are.”
“It hurts,” I sob.
“Do you want me to stop?”
His tone is mocking, condescending, and he knows it makes me angry. A wave of rebellious fury pulses through me and I grit my teeth.
“Don’t you fuckingdare.”
His harsh laughter only spurs me on, my fingers clumsily circling my clit.
“Good girl.”
It only takes a few more thrusts before I’m coming so hard my ears ring. The sound of my fingernails dragging across concrete underlines the desperate wail that erupts from the depths of my chest. It’s primal, carrying everything I’ve been holding in for so long.
“That’s what I wanna hear.”
A few more brutal thrusts and his body stills, shuddering against mine. A whimper fills my ears. It’s almost sweet, and he buries his head in my shoulder, moving his hips languidly as he pushes through the last dregs of his climax.
After a few moments united in our shared silence, Dominic pulls out of me and turns me around. His long fingers wrap around the hand that’s now glistening with my slick. He examines it in the moonlight before popping each finger into his mouth one at a time and licking them clean. My nerves are only a little more than frayed wires, unsure if I’m still coming or just in the afterglow. Little aftershocks hit me every time I shift my weight, and my clit is practically rubbed raw. But if he asked me to go again, I’d agree in a heartbeat.
He pulls my last finger out of his mouth, kissing me sweetly. I can taste myself – different fluids mixed together into a sharp and sweet metallic slick on his tongue. When he pulls away, his eyes are that natural softer gold again, warm like the sun.
“Come on, let’s head back up. I’ll get you a robe, and we can finish dinner.”
I nod and try to take a step forward, but nearly topple over in my heels. Immediately, he drops to the ground next to me and taps my calf.
“Lift your leg.”
“I’m fine,” I insist. “I just need a second.”
He gazes up at me, tilting his head to the side and giving me a look that says he doesn’t believe a word that’s coming out of my mouth.
“Don’t be stubborn.”
I lift my leg and Dominic slides off one heel, and then the other, plucking them off of the ground as he stands up and takes my hand. Our relationship is reciprocal. We both need something from the other, but I have a feeling that the more I come to depend on him for sex, money, or protection, the more dangerous this is going to be. Just the way he wants it. But here, now, he’s being so sweet and supportive, and I can’t help but revel in it.
As he helps me inside, my legs wobble again, making it hard to even walk with his help.
And my head spins.
How hard did he fuck me? My hand squeezes his, and he glances back at me. My vision is hazy, but I can still make out a smile.
But this time, it doesn’t bring comfort.
“What is it, little dove?”
There’s something in his voice.
Something’s wrong.
The walls feel like they’re shifting and turning around me, and the look on his face fills me with dread. My eyelids get heavy, fluttering as my heart pounds in my ears.
And in an instant, I know I was right from the start. Somethingwaswrong. It’s been wrong the whole time.
I snarl and try to swipe at him, but he’s too fast, dipping out of the way as I tumble to the ground. He swoops back just in time to catch me, barely stopping my head from slamming against the floor.
He cradles me in his arms, so softly, close and tight.
