“Hey sis! So, I just met Cash. You weren’t fucking kidding when you said he was gorgeous, and those dimples! You know you’re totally fucked, right?”

Before I can even answer she stops dancing around my room and takes a closer look at me.

“Ha! Were you two fucking when I got here?"

“No! I just got out of the shower.”

“Uh huh. That’s why you have that dopey grin on your face. Or why you’re breathing heavily, your cheeks are flushed, and Cash was adjusting his jeans and shirt when I got in the kitchen?”

The little shit is leaning against my dresser with her arms crossed and a smirk on her face. Fuck, why do my sisters have to be so damn perceptive.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t even realize Cash was here already. I woke up late and was rushing to get ready when I thought I heard you come in and started talking to someone. I assumed it was Reid since I gave him a key to come and go since my schedule is so crazy.” The whole time I’m talking I am walking around my room putting my socks on and braiding my hair so it’s out of the way while I work today. I can’t look at my sister because she will know I’m lying, and I will crack the minute she pushes a little more.

“Okay, whatever you say sis. I won’t push because you’re obviously not ready to tell me what happened between you and that hot as hell contractor, but I’m all ears when you are ready.”

“Thanks, Em. I promise I’ll let you know when I am more sure of what, if anything, is actually going on with Cash.”

“Sounds great! So, are you ready to kick some ass and get your master bathroom finished? You’ve got to be tired of dragging your stuff over to the spare room every day to get a shower.”

“I definitely am. Thanks for taking the day off to come help me work on it. I know the guys could’ve done it, but I’ve never seen anyone as good as you at laying tile.” I pull Emerson in and give her a squeeze. It’s so good to be spending more time with my sisters.

“Of course. I love working on cars, but it’s nice to do something different with my hands. It’s even better that it’s something that’s going to help you and make your life better. Let’s go downstairs and grab the material.”

When we make it downstairs, Cash is nowhere to be seen, but I can hear him in the front, and I can smell paint stripper. He must be working on the built-ins. I do not envy him for that job, but according to Reid, restoring wood like the built-ins is one of Cash’s favorite things to do.

Emerson and I load up with what we need to get started in the bathroom and get to work. It’s been about two hours when I hear Reid hollering my name as he heads upstairs. I let him know we’re in the bathroom and the next thing I know, he’s standing in the doorway.

“Damn girl. Are you a magician or something? I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone lay tile so intricately, yet so quick in my life. I’m Reid Dalton and I would gladly be your slave for life if I could convince you to come work with Cash and I.”

Emerson’s laugh bubbles out as a big smile spreads across her face. I love seeing her happy, not that she isn’t habitually happy, but her joy always brings a smile to my face.

“Hi Reid, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m Emerson and unfortunately for you, I love my job and can’t wait to take over the shop from my dad whenever he actually decides to retire. Looks like you’re gonna have to bribe someone else.”

“Hey, it was worth a shot. I’ll get out of your hair, but I just wanted to say hi and to let you know that the concrete for your counters in the kitchen just came.”

“Seriously? That’s fucking great! I can’t wait to have functioning counters again. Especially so I don’t have to listen to Landon bitch about it anymore.” Reid lets out a booming laugh when he hears me complaining about Landon.

“Yeah, I can totally see him being his dramatic self and letting you know how much of an inconvenience that is for him.”

“That sounds about right.”

“Alright, well I’m going to get working on those counters so that we can get you one step closer to getting your kitchen back. Holler if you ladies need any help up here.”

“Will do.”

Reid heads back downstairs while Emerson and I get back to work. I got the old sink pulled out and the doors and cabinet of the vanity sanded. I should be able to get them painted and the sink put back together by lunch. Reid wasn’t kidding when he said Emerson was flying, but that’s no surprise to me. At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was done by lunch as well which would be great so that I could work on the floors in the afternoon.

Emerson gets the tile done just as Spencer showed up with lunch for everyone. We all decided to take advantage of the nice breeze and eat on the front porch. Cash sits beside me with his thick leg pressed against me and his fingers skimming my thigh when he isn’t using that hand to hold the plate or eat. It just makes me even hotter with every touch.

Emerson and Spencer both head out after lunch and I make a beeline straight for upstairs. I can’t handle being around Cash a minute longer. Around 3:30 I hear footsteps coming up the stairs. I only have a small section of flooring to lay, and minus some paint and updating the light fixture, the master bathroom will be done.

I turn to see Cash leaning on the door frame with his arms crossed and a smirk on his face as I catch him watching my ass sway back and forth to the country song that’s playing from my phone. When I notice his eyes on me, I stand up and sway my hips a little more, acting like I have no idea he’s in the room.

I feel him move across the room and wrap his arms around my waist, tugging me against his tight stomach. To my surprise, he starts moving our bodies to the music. I’m so fucked, now. One of my weaknesses is a guy who can move. I love dancing and it’s such a huge turn on for me if a guy is willing and able to keep up with me on the dance floor. I lean my head back on his shoulder and just enjoy the music and the feel of this man pressed up against me.

“Damn, Chayse. What I wouldn’t give to be able to strip you out of these clothes and pick up where we left off earlier.”

“What’s stopping you?”
