“I most certainly don’t know what you are talking about. Winry, would you like a beer?” Mary turns her nose up to me. “Graham can have one after he stops being a baby.”

Winry laughs, “Yes, I would love one. What do you have?”

“Bud Light, Michelob, Corona, and Coors.”

“I’ll take a Corona with a lime if you’ve got them.”

“Me too.” Mary shoots me a look, so I give her my best smile. “Please.”

“That’s better. Why don’t y’all head on back? I’ll meet you out there with the drinks.”

“Thanks, Mare.” We mosey through the living room out to the back patio, where Jace has the fire going. I take off my jacket and offer it to Winry; she drapes it over her shoulders.

“Thank you.” Her eyes twinkle under the night sky.

“Hey, y’all have a good time?” Jace hollers as he turns on the electric fire pit.

“Yeah, we did.” I take a seat and pull Winry in my lap.

“Did he take you to Rivulet, Winry?” Jace asks, taking the seat next to us.

“Yes, it was so good. I think I ate every bite.” Winry lays her head on my shoulder, snuggling closer.

“Yeah, it has great food for sure. I met Mary there my junior year of high school. Her parents actually own the place.” Jace takes a swig of his beer.

“You’d better not tell the story yet.” Mary comes out with the beers in hand and passes them out. “I want to be the one to tell it.”

“No way, Jace tells it so much better than you do,” I poke at her.

“He so does not. Graham, you know that he embellishes the story.” Mary plops down in Jace’s lap.

“But Jace’s side is more fun. You’ve got to hear this story, Win.”

“Fine, Jace you tell it.” Mary swats at Jace, who is staring at her like he could just eat her.

“Okay, so Mary and her family had just moved here and opened up Rivulet. Mary was just a freshman, so I hadn’t seen her at school before, but for our junior prom we all decided to go eat at Rivulet before. I honestly could not tell you my date’s name…”

“It was Courtney Jones,” Mary adds quickly.

Jace rolls his eyes. “Anyway, we went there for dinner. Graham here went solo because a date was ‘too much work,’ but he came in our group. So, we put on our tuxes and the girls got all fancy. The one thing I do remember about Courtney was she was a grade-A bitch, and poor Mary was stuck being our waitress. I remember thinking she was the cutest thing in her little uniform. She made doe eyes to me all night.” Jace squeezes her and she giggles.

“I did not, and I remember thinking you looked like a douche bag,” Mary laughs.

“I was a little bit; every teen boy is. Well, something came out wrong and Courtney lost it, I could see the steam coming out of Mare’s ears. She got so mad that she dumped Courtney’s plate of pasta all over her dress.”

“Oh no,” Winry covers her mouth to stifle her laugh.

“I did not do it on purpose. I went to grab the plate and she tried pulling it back and when I let it go, she yanked it all over her,” Mary protests and crosses her arms.

“Sure, honey, it was an accident. But really, she was just upset that she wasn’t the one with me, so she sabotaged my date, and I had to go stag with Graham.” Jace punches my shoulder.

“It was awful,” Mary buries her face in her hands. “I had to work for months to pay her back for that dress.

“After prom, I saw Mary in the hallway. So, naturally I chased her down and the rest is history.” Jace kisses Mary’s cheek.

“How was it when you two met? I know you are neighbors, but how did this happen?” Mare asks pointing between us.

Winry and I look at each other. “You tell it,” Winry says and wiggles slightly in my lap, which my dick responds to immediately.
