She leaned back against my hands, allowing me to set the pace. I shifted her hips back and forth while she sighed my name and wrapped her arms around my neck. Her distended nipples poked through her brainy little t-shirt, making Poe look like he had two peaks for eyeballs. I suckled at her nipples through that cotton shirt, holding her at her upper back, and pressing her deeper into my mouth.

“I’m not going to last much longer if you keep doing that.” she hummed, pushing herself even further into my mouth. “I never thought I could come just from someone sucking me, yet I’m about to fall over.”

I worked her nipple between my teeth and moved my hands to her hips, holding her in place while I pressed up into her.

“If you think it’s just your nipples getting you off, I’m a little nervous for my poor cock. You’re going to hurt his feelings.”

Acacia pulled at my chin so my ear lined up with her mouth.

“Aww, poor Pirate Wheeler,” she teased, thickening my cock. “I’ll never overlook the feeling of a good plunder.”

Fuck. That dirty little minx. I promised myself one of these days I’d show her what it was to be properly plundered by a pirate. Unfortunately, she pushed a hidden button that I don’t think I’d ever exposed to anyone, and I lost the battle of wills.

Acacia was on her back faster than either of us could process the change in position. I rutted into her like a randy high schooler getting his first handy.

“You better give me that come right now, Acacia.”

I held her down right above her mound, pushing my cock up against her inner wall, and tickling her clit with my thumb. No way would I go over without making sure she was jumping, too.

“Come on, Sweets,” I cajoled, trying to grit through the overwhelming need to blow. “Be my good girl.”

That was all it took. Acacia flew apart. She arched off the blanket and shouted into the heavens. If not for the fireworks display covering the sounds of her completion, more than likely someone in town would have heard us.

It felt like hours before the two of us came back down. Neither of us moved or were even capable of doing so. Cradled beneath the blanket, panting and covered in sweat, we stared up at the ribbons of color that rained down on us with glorious, popping explosions.

“Edwin,” her fingers tickled through my hair, before scoring down my five o’clock shadow. “I think I—”

“Acacia Ashley!”

Mrs. Soames and Wanelda stood near Acacia’s bar. They were far enough away that they couldn’t see anything besides us laying on a blanket, but their arrival shot panic through both of us.

“Who is out there with you?” Mrs. Soames called.

“I’ll be right there!” Acacia called back, groping wildly beneath the blanket I assumed in search of her panties and shorts.

My shirt was long enough to cover my haphazardly buttoned shorts. I shot off the blanket to intercept them while Acacia tried to put herself back together.

“Mrs. Soames, Wanelda! What brings the pair of you to this side of the island. Don’t the two of you usually sit in the Grand Marshal's booth?”

“Well, yes,” Wanelda replied, “but Acacia never showed up and we got worried. We came to see if maybe she was still trying to set up tomorrow’s festivities. It’s all over town what happened with Dr. Asher Krane and that girl claiming to be his daughter.”

I stepped even closer toward Temperance, drawing them further away from our picnic blanket and positioned the pair with their backs to Acacia. I watched her stand and shimmy into her shorts, trying not to drop my conversation as I watched her panties skim past her pubic mound and snap back into place.

“I came by a little bit ago and helped with all the final details,” I told them. “We finished in just enough time for the beginning of the boat parade, so we decided to just watch it from here rather than try to make it into town with enough time to enjoy the festivities.”

“Thank you so much for checking on me.” Acacia leaned in to give them each a hug. “We’re actually all set for tomorrow. All we need is the weather to cooperate, so if you want to stop by the church on your way home and send up an extra prayer, I’d appreciate it.”

She gathered the two ladies up with grace and escorted them back to their little golf cart and waved them on their way. I’d been about to compliment her on her suave handling of the situation when I saw the storm brewing on her face. In three focused strides she was directly in front of me, her fighting face locked in place.

That damn chin always gave her away. I stared into the eyes of old Acacia, fire brewing behind those eyes. Her lips twitched as if a tempest was beginning to form.

“You always take things too far!” she lamented. She stormed past me to collect her things from the blanket. “We were having a wonderful time. Even the kissing could have been explained away. But now the entire town is going to be gossiping about how I spread my legs for you.”

I tried to cradle her against my chest. To calm the fight out of her with a hug, but she wasn’t having it. She jerked her shoulder against my chest and broke free from my hold.

“Acacia, no one saw you. I swear. I kept an eye out the entire time to ensure no one walked up on us and caught us by surprise. You were safe. Youaresafe. With me. I’ll always protect you.”

Rather than acknowledge anything I said, she called to her cat, making kissing noises and meows to get him to come to her.
