“You,” she gasped as she captured his lips. She took her time savoring the taste of him and feeling the soft vibrations in his chest. “Scared, nervous,” she whispered against his lips as her fingers traced over the hard planes of his muscles. “Happy and excited.” She breathed him in before she kissed him again. “So many things.” When she leaned back to watch his expression, she smiled. “What do you feel, Mac?”

For once, the voices in his head were silent. “I feel peace,” Mac answered as he deepened their kiss. He traced his lips down her neck. The jaguar rubbed his lips against her skin as he inhaled her. “I feel lightheaded but happy. Almost like I’m flying.” He latched onto her nipple again and sucked as her fingers continued to explore his body.

Her back arched as he pulled on her nipple. “Those are wonderful things.” She knew she sounded like an idiot, but she loved hearing how happy he was. “Just tell me if I do something you don’t like or if it’s wrong.” Her nails skated along his abdomen until she brushed against his length. When her eyes closed, she wrapped her hand around him. “I want to make sure you feel as good as you make me feel.”

“Use your nails again.” Mac purred as he moved over to the other nipple. He tugged the pert bud between his teeth when she traced her nails over his abs. “I don’t think you can do anything that will offend me. I love your touch, Violet.” His tongue flicked over the tight bud before he sucked it into his mouth.

Her body trembled each time his tongue slid along her nipple. “Definitely feel the same way, Mac.” She let her nails skim over him before she pressed her palms against his abs. “I love the way you feel. You’re hard where I’m soft.” She pushed him gently from her nipple. Before he could say anything, she kissed him. “I love everything about you.”

“You’ve mentioned that word again.” He captured her lips. “Describe it to me. I want to know if I use it properly.” His breath escaped him as Violet stroked him. When she let go, the jaguar growled low as he moved his hand between her thighs. “Tell me what love is.” His lips kissed along her cheek to her ear as he slipped a finger inside her.

As she cupped his cheek, she gasped. “Love is different to different people.” Her hips rolled as she felt his finger slide deeper into her. “For me, it’s the happiness you bring me. We’re different, but in a way that we fit together like puzzle pieces.” She moaned when he added a second finger but never took her eyes from his. “It means making sure the other has what they need and want. Sharing pleasure and heartache.” She bit her lip as her hand slid over him. “Being there through hard times and overcoming them until you reach the good times.”

The jaguar gazed at her when he slightly lifted her over his lap. “So, by your description, it’s right for me to say I love you?” Mac added another finger but kept them buried when he felt her tighten around him. “Because you make me feel at home. I feel wanted and cherished. I am not a monster, and you.” His breath hitched as he watched the pleasure in her eyes. He moaned with her when he curled his fingers and pressed inside her. “You showed me how much I am not what they said.”

Her moans bounced off the surrounding stones. Mac thrust into her as he kept her above his lap. Something about looking into her eyes as he pleasured her excited him. The jaguar didn’t stop until he felt her pulse as she drew closer to the edge. “I love you, Violet. Now, cum for me.”

Before she could say anything, her body melted for him as her cries echoed in the room. He made her unravel in the best possible ways. Her hand gripped his shoulder as she rode out her pleasure from his fingers. Her eyes never strayed from his, even as she leaned in and kissed him. “I love you, Mac. You’ll never be a monster or anything they told you in the facility. You’re my heart.”

“And mine.” Mac groaned against her lips. Once she settled, he removed his fingers from her. They panted against each other. When he felt her hand again on his length, he helped guide the tip against her entrance. “You’ll always be mine.” He cupped her face as he kissed her.

Slowly, she slid down his length while his kiss captured her moan. “You’re all I want, Mac,” she murmured against his lips. When her hips rolled, she rose over him and eased down his length until she took every inch of him. Her eyes closed as she felt him throb as her walls stretched to accommodate him. “Always, yours.”

She placed her hands on his shoulders and kept her pace slow until she found a comfortable rhythm. The water lapped against their bodies and the edges of the pool. Until Mac, she thought sex was overrated with how it was talked about, but she couldn’t compare it to anything. With him, she knew it was better than any story she heard.

Mac kept to her pace. He helped guide her over his length and buried his face against her neck. Any words that came to mind died on his tongue. She gripped him with every thrust. The jaguar fought for restraint. He needed to hold back to enjoy every sensation given to him by Violet.

When she rolled her hips again, Mac groaned as he gripped her waist. She rubbed his shoulders. “Tell me what you crave. What will make you feel better than before?” He nuzzled her neck. The urge to bite her came to mind, but he ignored it. Instead, he leaned back. He helped lift her on his length and guided her back down.

“I don’t know.” She didn’t restrain her moans as she rode him. She might have laughed at his expression if he didn’t make her tremble with need. When she pressed into his chest, she kissed him. “This is only my second time. The only thing I know for sure is that I need you. Like this.” When her hips rolled, her body shuddered. “You feel perfect to me. I’m not sure it can get better.”

“It can.” Mac buried himself completely. When she gasped, he kissed her to swallow her moan. “Trust me?” When she nodded, the jaguar rolled her hips as he thrust. The teasing actions created the best sensations he ever felt. Every time, his time with Violet felt like a first for him. Nothing hurt him. Nothing haunted him. Every time she moaned, it almost brought him closer to the edge. He dragged his teeth against her lips before his lips moved across her skin to her neck.

With another deep thrust, Mac heard her scream for him. Her walls pulsed around him, and he did it again. When her nails bit into his shoulders, he growled against her ear. He lifted her until only the tip remained. He leaned back to watch her expression as he snapped his hips forward. “Mine.”

“Yours!” she cried, as her entire body seemed to pulse and throb with pleasure. Heat filled her as her eyes locked onto his. She fought to sink her nails completely into his skin with each wave of pleasure. The instinct drove her crazy, but she refused to cause him any pain. Every snap of his hips brought a fresh scream to her lips until she quivered over him. “Mac!” His name echoed back to them. She was a trembling mass and knew she was only upright because of his hold on her.

She tightened around him. When his hips snapped forward again, he kept himself buried as the jaguar rocked her. His muscles tensed as he felt her nails bite into his skin. The strange sensation only drove his need more. He bounced her on his lap until the water splashed them both in the face. He didn’t care as he sank back into her heat and captured her lips. “Again. Push them deeper.” Mac moaned as he gripped her hips to rock over him again.

A strange energy built inside of her as pleasure coursed through her veins. She felt the energy grow when her nails pressed deeper into his flesh. “Mac,” she whimpered as the sensation continued to grow. The urge to bury her nails in his skin only increased as the ecstasy reached new levels. When she couldn’t fight it anymore, she felt her nails drag along his shoulder blades until she smelled blood. A pang of regret went through her a moment before the energy exploded as a scream ripped from her throat.

The pain pushed him to a newer height. His thrusts became erratic as he felt her claws drag across his chest. “Violet,” he moaned. When they sank into his chest, the instinct to bite her took over. He sank his fangs into the curve of her neck and shoulder. The taste of her blood erased the hurt he felt in his heart. She tightened around him and screamed. He buried himself inside her heat with a last stroke until the familiar rod left him to connect inside her.

When she felt him attach to her, she collapsed over him. Her hand cupped the back of his head as a sense of euphoria filled her between their connection and his bite. She quivered against him, sobbing from the mix of sensations until her body twitched. Small gasps escaped her lips as she tried to breathe through it all. She could have died at that moment and would have died happy.

Mac retracted his bite from her neck. His nose dragged across the mark as he caught their mixed scents. She trembled against him, and his arms wrapped around her. “Are you alright?” He heard her whimper. When he cupped her cheek, Mac kissed her. “I don’t regret it. I’m glad we did it.”

“Neither do I,” she whispered against his lips as she tasted her blood. “Did I hurt you?” Her lips brushed against the healing slashes on his chest. “I didn’t mean to. I don’t know what came over me.” As she rambled, he silenced her with a kiss. Her body relaxed against his as she savored the sense of complete peace she felt with him.

“I asked for it.” Mac rubbed his thumb against her cheek. “I wanted it. There was something about.” He paused. He wasn’t sure how to word it. “Pleasurable. I trust you, Violet. I don’t regret it, so don’t ever hold back in the future.”

“You either.” She settled against his chest. “I love everything you do to me.” When she turned her head, she nibbled on his thumb with a groan. “I trust you, but more than that. I love you, Mac.”

“I love you, Violet.” When he lifted her chin, the jaguar groaned as he remained inside her. “More than anything.” He kissed her again.

Chapter twenty-seven

Macopenedhiseyesas he felt a soft breeze over his chest. The strands of blue hair made him smile as he felt Violet beside him. He ran his hand over her back until she stirred awake. “How long do you think we’ve been asleep?” He asked as the jaguar placed a kiss on top of her head.
