Mara squealed. “Oh, how was it?”
“It was the most enjoyable experience of my life,” Raina said.
“He’s dreamy, isn’t he?” Mara said.
Alex glanced at Rafael to see him scowl. “She’s not supposed to think other men are handsome.”
Mara interrupted him. “Not as dreamy as mine. No one is, but he’s a close second.”
Alex laughed when Rafael smiled and sat back.
“I think Alex is dreamier.”
Mara giggled. “I think we’re supposed to find our men more handsome than any other.”
“He’s not mine yet.” Raina glanced at the doorway. “I don’t think we have much time. Is there anyone you know that could help me? You’re the only person I can ask.”
Mara nodded. “Yes. It’s one of my friends, Larkin. She’s amazing and will definitely help you. Her daddy knows a lot of people, so maybe he can do something for you.”
“We’ll see. I just need a place until I can get the people out of my house.”
“I’ll write down her name and number. I’ll also text her and tell her the situation,” Mara said.
Alex grunted, stood, and walked to his desk. “I wonder where she’s going to make this call?”
Rafael laughed when Alex put the office phone in a drawer.
“Let’s go, my little is getting tired, and she’s going to need her rest for what she has to deal with when she wakes up,” Alex said.
Rafael slapped his shoulder. “You’ll get this figured out.”
Chapter Ten
“Hell, yes, I will. I’m not going to lose her.” The men walked through the door. “Hey, girls.”
The girls jumped, and Raina stuffed something into her pocket. Alex pretended not to see.
“Are you girls done?” Alex asked as he walked to stand beside Raina and put his arm around her waist.
He felt her stiffen, but then she relaxed against him.
“Yes,” Mara said. She hugged Raina. “We’ll be back soon.”
“Okay. Thank you for the clothes and things you brought me,” Raina said.
“I’ll get you more later,” Mara said.
“No, Mara, I’ll take care of her,” Alex said.
Mara looked back and forth. “Oh, okay.”
“Come on, my love, I want to swim before bedtime,” Rafael said. “In the cove.”
Alex laughed when Mara shivered, turned bright red, and then tucked herself close to her daddy. The cove was a secluded area off his pool where he took her to fuck her in privacy. It was surrounded by plants and bushes. Alex hoped he’d get the chance for that, too. He’d considered putting one in his backyard but hadn’t had time to find his little until then. Now, he’d make it happen.
Jesus, the thought of fucking her slow and sweet in their own private space made him harden so quickly he had to bite back his groan.
He waved at Rafael and Mara before he turned to Raina. He grabbed her shoulders and stared down at her. He almost grinned when he found her fighting to look calm instead of the guilt that was evident in her eyes and the color of her complexion. Littles were always so easy to read.
