“Kind of. It’s called a big/little relationship where the man or woman that is considered thebigin the relationship is the one in charge, and the little one follows their directions. I, for one, need to be in control at all times, and my Mara likes that I take care of her.”

Raina looked at Mara and saw her smile. “You really don’t mind?”

“Not at all,” Mara said. “Not worrying about anything makes me feel free enough to concentrate on my animals. I don’t even have to worry about what to wear every day because my daddy picks it out.”

Raina was intrigued with the concept but had many more questions she wanted to ask Mara in private.

“Who would like to order pizza?” Alex said.

“Me,” Mara and Rafael said.

Alex ran a hand up and down her back. “What about you, Baby? Do you like pizza?”

“I … yes. I haven’t had it in a long time,” Raina said.

She caught the look between the other people, but thankfully no one asked her why.

“You’ll like this place. It’s one of my favorites,” Alex said. “Now, guys, tell me what kind you’d like, and it better not…”

“Vegetarian,” both Mara and Raina said simultaneously and then grinned at each other.

“But I don’t like mushrooms,” Raina said, wrinkling her nose.

“I don’t either. They’re slimy.” Mara giggled.

“We both have light-blonde hair, too. We could be twins,” Mara said.

“God, you have no idea how much I want that. I’ve been alone a long time.”

Raina stopped at the look of confusion and curiosity on the people’s faces.

Alex pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “We’ve got a lot of questions, Baby. I don’t want you to be afraid of us. Our main objective is to keep you girls safe and take care of any problem you might have.”

Raina stared up at him and then nodded. The sincere look in his eyes made the tension disappear, and she found herself leaning against him.

“How about we find you girls a movie to watch, and then we’ll order pizza? I don’t want you on your feet too much today. If you push it too much, you’ll hurt yourself.”

“I won’t. I promise.”

Alex nodded and then led them into a small family room. The colors were bright, with big windows facing grass, flowers, and trees. The floor was wood she’d seen throughout the house, but this room had a huge colorful round rug in the middle.

It held a sofa, chairs, a few tables, and what looked like a gaming table on one side. A few shelves had books, puzzles, and games that would interest kids and young women. The more she looked around, the more she sensed this room was for children.

“Do you have a daughter?” Raina asked.

Alex looked confused for a moment and then smiled. “No. I set this room up for the littles that visited.”

“You’re talking about the women that have daddies?”

“Yes.”

“There are more around here?”

“Oh, my, yes. Most of my friends are daddies. Usually, when they visit me, they bring their littles with them,” Alex said.

Raina studied his face. “Is that what you want? To be a daddy someday?”

Alex swept the hair away from her face. “Yes. I want that very much.”
