I keep going, clutching her ass and spanking it as I plunge in over and over, my motion steady as a machine’s. Soon Kate’s coming uncontrollably, one orgasm starting before the last can finish. I half expect her to start squealing that she’s had enough, but she doesn’t. She’s insatiable. As long as she wants more, I’m not going to stop.

She takes everything I can give her. When I finally hit my peak and my seed erupts within, she gasps for air but gives no sign of being finished. I play with her plug and stroke her clit, but nothing drives her to the brink until the end. When I’ve drilled her enough to finish myself, she howls and writhes; as soon as I stop, she goes limp.

I catch her before she can lose her footing and release the chain that suspends her arms. Kissing her cheek, I slip out her gag, then carry her to bed. I don’t want to untie her just yet — I’m not finished with her like this.

She inhales gallons of air, lying in my lap, staring up at the ceiling. I stroke her hair until she’s caught her breath, then set her down so I can fetch us both some water. Kate drinks deeply from the bottle, smiling at the cold drink.

“Thank you, sir,” she says. Swinging her bound arms, she asks, “Can you let me out now?”

I grin.

“Not yet.”

She pouts, letting herself fall back into my lap. I resume stroking her hair, which practically makes her purr like a kitten.

“I have half a mind to leave you here, like this,” I say, my mirth receding. “I’m not the happiest about taking you to the Enclave.”

“You don’t think it’ll be safe?” she asks.

“No mission is ever totally safe. I can protect you as well as I can protect myself, but there are no guarantees.”

“True,” she says. “But I’m not really safe anywhere until Anton’s dead.”

I don’t know that I’d agree with her; this compound is pretty secure. Anton can’t find it, and even if he could, he can’t penetrate it. Has Anton scarred her so badly that she thinks he can hurt her, no matter where she is? I would understand if she did — and that’s all the more reason to end his reign as soon as possible.

“Soon you will be,” I say, lifting her up so she can sit straight. “I’m taking back control of the Masters from him, and then they’ll all get what they deserve.”

“How?”

“First we take the island by force. Eliminate their support personnel until Anton has no choice but to surrender. Then I convene the Masters to officially recognize me as their leader, which they’ll be happy to do considering how badly Anton’s failed them.”

“Won’t he just kill them all?” she asks, shivering and glancing down at one of her implant scars.

“That’s a risk I’m willing to take.”

She scoffs.

“Okay. Sure. But why bother even leading the Masters? Why not just apprehend all of them and drop them on the FBI’s doorstep?”

“We will,” I say. “But until we’re ready to move on them all at once, we need to keep them under control. Freeing them from Anton will restore their power, and they can do a lot of damage. They could trigger a stock market meltdown by creating a mass sell-off. They could cease operations of some of the world’s biggest companies, crippling their businesses and torching world economies. They could order assassinations of key figures and start wars. If they think their days are numbered but don’t have Anton keeping them in line, it would be a disaster.”

She listens, but says nothing. I can see her mind working behind her eyes, calculating and analyzing.

“If they believe I want to lead the Masters instead of destroying them, they’ll be cooperative,” I continue. “In that regard, it actually helps a lot to bring you along; it’ll be seen as a way of restoring normalcy. You’re a threat to them, after all. Next to Anton, you can hurt them worse than anyone else. If Anton wasn’t able to kill them with a word, I’m sure they’d be extremely afraid of the fact they don’t know where you are or what you’re doing.”

She nods slowly.

“I don’t understand. If we go in and take all the Masters down, how much damage could they really do? Why can’t we just take them into custody?”

“Think about what will happen if all of these men suddenly get arrested at once. It won’t be as devastating as what they could destroy on their own, but it’ll be a problem for millions of people around the world.”

“No, that’s not it,” she mutters, shaking her head. “This is about Jamison. You’re going to protect him.”

“For now, Kate. I promise, we’re going to figure out what to do with him. He will pay for what he’s done, I promise.”

“Good,” she replies, just before I slip the gag back into her mouth. She grunts, glaring at me.

“Perfect. Keep that look.”
