She braced her hand on his stomach, which he thought about sucking in for a moment. Had it ever been flat? He couldn’t remember, but then she squeezed around him, and he lost his mind.

“God, Bets. Do that again.”

She was panting, close to the razor-sharp edge of orgasm. He reached to her core and helped her along, thrusting harder as she came over him in a long series of whimpers and cries. He gritted his teeth and held back until she slumped forward. He rolled them over, coming onto his knees and brought her legs around his waist. “Come with me again.”

He thrust deep, and they both moaned. The damn robe was in his way, so he spread the cotton open and helped her remove her arms. Wanting the infernal thing out of his way, he picked her up and tossed it onto the floor. Then he rolled her under him and slid back into her.

She was watching him, breathing hard, her cheeks flushed with passion.

“I’ve never seen a more beautiful sight,” he said, stopping when he was buried to the hilt.

Her whimper had him growing even harder. Land sakes, she was hell on his control.

“Move,” she ordered.

He lowered himself over her, keeping his eyes on her. “In a minute. Trust me.”

She gripped his arms. “Linc!”

“That’s right, sugar. Let it come. Breathe, Bets.”

She squeezed her eyes shut, panting, her hands gripping his hips. He loved every minute of it. He focused on his breathing again, watching her face. When her neck arched, he was ready for her.

“Now.” He pulled out and thrust back in to the hilt, making her arch off the bed.

She exploded in a rush, crying out, trembling under him. He pressed his face into the pillow and pumped into her, his arms shaking. His cries mingled with hers, and then he rolled them to the side, keeping an arm around her hips to seal her to him.

She had her face pressed against his neck, her hot pants tingling his oversensative skin. “What wasthat?” she managed.

“That was what we call some mighty sweet lovin’, that’s what.” He was sure his thundering heart would return to normal at some point. Right now, it was like a herd of mustangs were rushing across the plains of his chest.

“I almost killed you when you stopped.” She smacked him. “But I’m grateful you did. I had no idea it could happen like that.”

“Those of us who like slow loving figured that one out a long time ago.” He kissed her sweaty face. “Sometimes it’s fun to rush to the finish. Other times, it’s fun to let nature do the work.”

“I’d say our natures are overachievers.” She let out a long breath. “Are you as relieved as I am?”

He tipped up her chin. “Were you worried we might suck at this?”

“I can be a Negative Nancy sometimes.” Her smile broke open. “Consider all doubts gone.”

He studied her, glowing from her passion. “Then you won’t mind if I go a little further this morning?”

“Again?” She grinned.

“In a moment.” He kissed her slowly, until she gave a sweet little sigh against his lips. “I love you, Bets.”

Her eyes shot to his. He saw a flash of emotion there before she touched his face. “I love you too, cowboy. Who do you think was more surprised?”

“You,” he said, kissing her hard on the lips this time.

She made a face but nodded. “Probably. Okay, it was a total shock to realize it. But that’s that and here we are.”

“Here we are indeed.” He traced her delicate eyebrow. “You still thinking you’re going to need anything more than a toothbrush the next couple days?”

Her glare was momentary before she smiled. “No, but I’m still going to kill my son.”

“I’d say he did you a favor.” Linc rolled her onto her back. “He made sure you wouldn’t leave the hotel room for a while. How many days do you think we can go without leaving? Twenty bucks says four days.”
