“I’d settle for just one right now,” I ground out, as I felt the spiral of pleasure tighten.

“Making you come over and over until you’re crying out ‘no more’.” His grin reappeared. “Then seeing if we can tease out another. You’ll be thinking that you can’t come again.”

“I have no such concerns,” I said, slapping my hands down on his hips and moving as if to dislodge the sex toy, but he grabbed both my wrists in one hand and then went back to work. I was trapped now, pulled tight by this position. Why did that feel right?

“You have no idea how much pleasure we can bring you, Ellie. Accept that we’re gonna try and woo you and you’ll find out.”

“Show me now,” I growled. “You want to fuck me, not use the toy to do it. You need it, don’t you?”

“So fucking much.” His face was a mask of pleasure and pain, his strokes getting faster and faster and suddenly all my complaints meant nothing. Because right then I could feel it, strong arms around me, Cole cradling me against his chest, his hips moving in time with his strokes. “You’re gonna come for me.”

My breath had become a series of rapid pants, mine and his coming in time. My hips moved, flexed, the buzz of the sex toy both delicious but not what I wanted, all at the same time.

“Come for me, Ellie.” He ground that out between gritted teeth. No, make that gritted fangs, and there was no mistaking him for a man right now, or a bear. He was something else, new and strange, some mix of the two and right now he was all I wanted.

I wanted that pleasure like that bite of cheesecake or spoon of rich ice cream that was just one too many. Your stomach roils in rebellion, all while your taste buds go nuts. You hover in that place between sickness and pleasure, each one somehow throwing the other in sharper relief.

“Yes…” I panted. “Yes, yes…” And damn me if he didn’t keep thrusting, right up until I reached my third and final peak, choosing that moment to erupt all over me.

His grunts were primal and his seed hot as he spurted all over me, marking me. Then his mouth descended, kissing me over and over, sucking down my cries of pleasure and swallowing his own, too, until finally, we were done.

I thought he was going back for more, wincing, when his fingers played through the cum, but he just massaged it into me.

“For the next week, that’ll tell any man, any bear shifter that looks at you that you’re mine,” he said, reaching over to place a kiss on my forehead, then rolling off the bed. “I’ll be back to apply more seven days from now, unless you’ve come to your senses and decided to accept the bond. I’ll come and keep on coming, marking you as mine over and over, because that’s what I need to do.”

He pushed his wet cock back into his jeans and then zipped himself up, retrieving his t-shirt before pulling that on too.

“And right now, I’m gonna crack on with the painting.”

Another kiss pressed to my forehead before I shook my head.

“This doesn’t change anything,” I told him as he made for the door, and that stopped him in his tracks. He turned around slowly, a sly grin on his face.

“Yeah, it does, love. This changes everything.”

Chapter35

Tyson

I was stirring the massive pot of chilli I had going, when Cole strolled in, the asshole strutting like he owned the place.

“Where the fuck have you been?” I asked with a frown, my tasting spoon hovering over the surface of the chilli. “We started that new job today and you were MIA.”

“Out,” was all Cole would say, that smug smile not moving from his face as he walked over to the fridge and then pulled out a beer. He cracked it and then shot me a wink as he took a long drink.

“Out wh…?” Whatever else I had to say faded away as I caught scent of it. Rich, complex, sweet as honey. My mouth watered and not for my cooking. I set the spoon down and then strode over. “You…?” It was all over him, Ellie’s scent, and the bear shoved against my internal barriers then, roaring his displeasure. “You went to Ellie’s.”

We’d all sat down and talked it through after she’d left. I’d wanted to go after her, but Cole had shut that down.

“What the fuck, man.” I shoved his shoulder, feeling a sense of satisfaction when the chair legs screeched across the floor a few inches, but he just stared up at me. “You said—”

“I know what I fucking said.” His eyes went cold and flat right then. “I was bloody angry. Seeing her run out of here, it tore me apart.”

“Me too, asshole,” I shot back. “We all felt that!”

“And in the morning, I realised the error of my ways, so I went and bought some paint and started work on that fucking house.”

I saw something real then, something Cole seemed to try and hide as best he could. I could see myself partially reflected in his glasses before he kept talking.
