I look at my torn, beat-up hands. “These old things? Why is that?”

“They’re big and rough. There’s something so sexy about the fact that you work with them all day long. I love them on my body. In my body.”

I pull her front to mine and run my hands up and down her arms. I notice goosebumps on her skin when I do. “They love being on your body. In your body.”

I bring my lips to hers for a soft kiss. She runs her fingers through my hair and moans, “Collin.”

I reluctantly break away. “Don’t worry, I have plans for that. We’ll get there. I promise.”

Her eyes light up. I love her eyes. In fact, there’s nothing I don’t love about her. I’m in so deep with this woman.

She turns around in a circle as I give her a brief explanation of where everything will be.

She looks confused. “The sign out front readsFitz and Sons. I thought you were doing this with Reagan and Carter on your own? I thought it was going to be your first project with the new company?”

I sigh. “I didn’t have the infrastructure set up quite yet. I don’t have the manpower or machines. That stuff doesn’t come quickly, and they wanted to get moving on this project, so it’s under the umbrella of Fitz and Sons. But Carter told them that I’m in charge and it’s my vision. It’s the only way he would agree to it. They’re not really in a position to deny him anything he asks for.” I smile. “I think answering to me is pissing off my brothers. I’m enjoying bossing their asses around.”

She gives me that mischievous grin of hers. “I like when you boss me around too.”

“Soon.” I take her hand again. “Let’s take a look at everything. I know it’s hard to imagine when it’s just a shell, but I want to show you some of the things I know you liked.”

I show her all around, including a few of the things I know are her favorites. The massive kitchen, the two-way fireplaces, the movie theater, the waterfall, the outdoor jacuzzi area off the master bedroom deck, and the huge master shower that overlooks the grounds, where you’ll be able to see outside from inside the shower, but no one can see in.

I point out where all the crazy technology will be. Televisions that are hidden and then appear are among my favorites.

She smiles the whole time. “Collin, it’s going to be amazing. I want to come back every few weeks and see the progress.”

“Deal.” I’m so happy that she’s excited about it. I am too.

We walk out front. I turn to her. “Wait here. I want to grab something from my truck.”

I run to the truck and gather the pile of pillows and blankets I brought. I return to her and grab her hand. “Follow me. Just be careful. The ground is uneven.”

We make our way to the area with the heavy machinery. I unlock the box with all the machinery keys inside.

“Are you familiar with an excavator?”

She shrugs. “I guess I’ve seen them.”

I point to one. “This is it right here. We use them for a bunch of things like digging, lifting, and carrying heavy items. This big front part is called the bucket.”

I lay out a bunch of the blankets in the bucket before telling her to step in it. Without any hesitation she does. I quickly run to the cab, put the key in the ignition, turning on the electric, and take the remote control with me.

I then climb into the bucket with her. “Sit.”

She looks at me with skepticism but does as she was told. I sit as well. I press the button and we’re lifted into the air.

She gasps. “Oh my god, Collin, this is amazing.”

I lift us all the way until we reach the full thirty-foot height. I lock it into place and nod at her. “You can stand now. Just be careful. We’re very high up and I’m breaking about forty different construction site regulations right now.”

I stay seated but hold her hand for support as she stands. She looks over the ledge and then up at the sky. “Wow. The view is incredible.”

I can’t see much due to the deepness of the bucket, but I look up at her. “It sure is.”

She looks down, understanding what I meant. She runs her fingers through my hair and then moves down to straddle my lap.

We wrap our arms around each other. She smiles. “Are we having sex up here?”
