Even Mac has stopped belittling Collin. I don’t know whether it’s because he respects him or he’s afraid of me, but either way, he doesn’t mess with my man anymore. Given that Ashleigh and I have become so close, we end up spending more time with them than anyone in his family.

I kept my bridal party simple. It’s only family, except Reagan. Between the bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids, it’s still big. Reagan is officiating our ceremony. Apparently, she became ordained for Cassandra and Trevor’s wedding.

It’s a beautiful mid-summer day. We’re getting married on the beach by Harley and Brody’s shore house. I was at Skylar’s wedding here a little over five years ago and loved it. I know that Harley and Reagan got married here too, but that was before I knew them. I like that it’s become a bit of a family tradition. I wanted to be a part of it.

I get my hair and makeup done, and then get dressed. I’m nervously waiting with my father. I’m not nervous about being married to Collin, it’s just the idea of marriage that frightens me at times. But I love Collin and I know he loves me.

I’m in a sleek, sultry, form-fitting, strapless, short white dress with an overlay that gives it depth. Thanks to Melissa, it’s a designer label, but I personally don’t care. I didn’t want a traditional dress because, well, I’m not a traditional person. I’m confident that Collin won’t mind the way I look at all. In fact, I know my fiancé won’t be able to keep his hands off me all night. I inwardly smile at the thought.

The ceremony begins. I can’t help but peek around the dividers to watch Tyson walk down the aisle as the ring bearer. He’s in the same khaki pants and white linen shirt as Collin. He’s so damn cute. Though he’s a devil like both of his parents. I suppose we should have anticipated that.

He gets to Collin. They do a special handshake and Tyson hands him the ring. Aunt Darian then grabs Tyson and places him on her lap.

Dad takes my arm in his. “Are you ready?”

I nod. “Let’s get this shit show on the road.”

“I’m more than happy to take you and bail on this whole thing if you want.”

“Not today, Dad. Let it go. I love him and he loves me.”

“If he hurts you, I’ll end him.”

“I have no doubt you would, but he won’t. You and I both know that.” I pull him along. “Let’s go.”

We appear from behind the divider. Collin and I make eye contact. He’s so handsome. He gives me a huge grin and I instantly feel at peace with what we’re about to do.

We walk down the aisle, but when it’s time for Dad to hand me off the Collin, he won’t let go of my arm.

I whisper, “Dad, let me go.”

“No.”

I turn and look at Melissa with pleading eyes. She just shakes her head and smiles.

Collin takes a step and physically removes Dad’s arm from mine. With force. “I’ve got her, Dad. Don’t worry.” He gives my dad a huge smile.

Dad definitely does not return the smile. I think I may even hear a little growl.

Reagan clears her throat. “Good afternoon, everyone. We’re gathered here today to join Jade Tremaine McGinley and Collin Nolan Fitz as theytiethe knot.”

Tyson yells, “Mommy!” as he jumps off Aunt Darian’s lap and comes running toward us. Before he crashes into me, Collin scoops him up and places him on his hip.

I smile. “I’m happier having both of my boys up here.”

Collin nods in agreement, and Reagan continues with the ceremony. After a few routine items, she gets to the vows.

“Jade, repeat after me. I, Jade Tremaine McGinley.”

“I, Jade Tremaine McGinley.”

“Vow to be forevertiedto Collin Nolan Fitz.”

I narrow my eyes at her, and she gives me her mischievous smile. “Vow to be forever tied to Collin Nolan Fitz.”

“I will honor him and spend time with him, never allowing myself to get toochainedup with work and other distractions.”

I see Collin trying to hold in his laughter. “I will honor him and spend time with him, never allowing myself to get too chained up with work, and other distractions.”
