Enzo shakes his head. “You're going to tell them in a public place with backup there so you stay safe. If they're feral, you definitely need to be careful. But handling it that way will buy even more time because they'll have to make the preparations for suing you for custody. And then we'll be ready for them."

"And that's when they'll find out the information we have?"

Enzo nods. “Yes, so you'll need to be especially on your guard then. They'll probably play nice until then, so that'll be the moment you need to be careful."

"What about Jareth?”

If I had my way, I’d go drag him back to my place now.

"The best option would be to keep him with them so he could keep you informed what they're up to until the court hearing, but that's not a safe option."

I shake my head. “No. I want to get him away from them as soon as possible."

Enzo thinks for a moment before answering. ”Then while you're explaining to them that they're not getting anywhere near your daughter, Jareth needs to pack and get the hell out of there. I'll help him dissolve the courtship."

"I'll claim him, so he's safe and they don't put him back into the program." I don’t even have to think about it.

Whatever that keeps him safe. If we decide we’re better off as friends after getting to know each other again, that’s fine too. I just want him in my life.

Enzo perks up. “Actually that'll work even better. They won't be able to use their stable pack with their little omega anymore because you've stolen him. And you could always take a page out of our book and tell them you're currently being courted yourself by two upstanding citizens of this town, considering your own pack."

Ryder nods. “It wouldn't even be a lie. That's where this is headed."

I frown at him. “Are you sure you're okay with that? Things might not work out."

He nods. “They will. But if they somehow don't, I'll never regret helping you keep your child safe. Neither will Hendrix."

Fuck, these men are perfect.

“Okay. Thank you. We can use that if it becomes necessary.”

Enzo smiles. “Excellent. With all of this in place, it's extremely unlikely they'll have a chance in hell of getting even supervised visitation. Alphas may run the world, but feral ones who are only in relationships with other alphas aren't viewed very well. They're considered failures if they don't find a pack or omega or at least a beta. I'm actually surprised they haven't torn each other apart."

"Maybe this will be what sends them over that edge."

That’s the happily ever after I want.

Ryder snorts. “One can only hope."

I can't imagine a better outcome.

Enzo holds out the flash drive to me. “I’ve saved a copy of this to my computer, but I'll warn you, there is some upsetting shit on here. So maybe have a glass of wine or a couple bottles when you go through it."

I wince as I take the thing back from him. “Great. I'll keep that in mind."

"We're going to get you free of them, don't worry."

"Thank you so much for this. I don't think I'll ever be able to repay you."

"No thanks needed. Taking down alphas is my favorite hobby."

"It's a damn good hobby. I think I'm going to enjoy dabbling in it."

"There's always room for others in the work I do with Aurora. If you decide you like it, we'll find work for you."

"I'll keep that in mind." I like the idea, getting involved, putting more roots into this town.

I especially like the idea of helping to take down alphas.
