The action sends another flurry of heat spiraling through my already hyper-alert body.

I tug on my hand, so he turns to me and I press myself against him, threading my fingers through his hair and urging his mouth toward mine.

“But there’s another stage between here and there, right? One that involves you fucking my brains out back in the cabin, right?”

His mouth smiles on mine, not kissing me, not pulling away. Definitely not giving me what I want.

“Nope.” He says this easily, even though I can feel the coiled need in his body. I can feel the solid length of his cock brush against my belly. “I’m not fucking you again until you're mine forever.”

“That’s not fair!” I protest.

“Yeah. I’ve been told Guidrys don’t play fair. You play to win. Guess what, Butterscotch? That’s how I play, too.”

“Okay. I know it.” My voice is unexpectedly firm, and the words resonate, filling me with a complete and total certainty. “I love you, Nick. I’m all in, too.”

“Good.”

“Now, will you fuck me when we get back to the cabin?”

“Nope. Still waiting for that ring.”

“Well, then I guess you need to get a ring pretty quickly.”

He grins. “Yeah. I guess I do.”
