“The way I look at it, you’re more.”
He cups my face again. “I want all of your dances, Kelli. Even though I’ve never been a good dancer and I’m probably worse now. I want your bad moods, your great days and everything in between. I want a lot more of the things we did last night,” he adds in a whisper.
And my shameless pussy gets soaked right here in front of all of these people, including his mother.
“Can we have a second chance at forever, kitten?” he asks.
“Seems like we never really got a first chance.”
“Either way. Give me all your days, all your smiles and tears. In exchange you get my love. Which maybe to some might not seem like much. But you know what I realized? You’re mykintsugi, you’re the gold weaving through me, gluing my body back together and making me whole. You’re the reason I survived. I came back for you.”
I release a watery sob and throw my arms around his neck, peppering his face with kisses. “I love you, Wade. Always have. Oh my God, is this actually real?”
“Yeah, kitten, it’s real. This is us, and this is just the beginning.”

Wade
Six months later…
“I can’t believe you got me an appointment,” I say to my wife. “This guy has a waiting list nearly a year long.”
“I have my ways of persuasion,” Kelli says.
“What does that mean?” I ask.
“I knew his wife sometimes worked the front desk of the shop and I kept calling until she answered. Then I just appealed to her, wife-to-wife. She found a way to squeeze you in.”
I reach over and grab her hand and thread our fingers together.
“Love you, kitten.”
“Love you more,” she says.
Then we’re parking outside Valor Ink in downtown Valor, Wyoming. Yes, we flew all the way from Texas to Wyoming for me to get a tattoo. But it’s a very specific tattoo and this guy is the best.
“Let’s go,” she says.
“Wait, there’s one thing. I mean I’m not worried or anything, but I have heard something very specific about this guy, Knight.”
Kelli’s brows raise.
“He’s supposedly movie star handsome. Like that’s how he got his nickname in his motorcycle club. I don’t want you getting all starstruck or whatever when we get in there.”
She presses her lips together before she laughs. “Are you actually jealous right now about a man we haven’t even met yet?”
I frown. “Just rumors I’ve heard. He’s happily married.”
“As am I. And I like your grumpy face and hairy back.”
“I do not have hair on my back.”
She waves a hand dismissively. “Minor details.” Then she gets out of the car. “Now, I really want to meet him.”
When we get inside, Knight’s wife greets us, then he comes out of the back room with a baby sling strapped to his chest.
“Okay, that is hot,” Kelli whispers. “You gonna wear our babies around like that?”
