“Why?”

“Is someone extra grumpy today?”

I huff. Wanting a bit of peace and quiet doesn’t make me grumpy.

He switches off the lights. “Turn the lights back on,” I grumble.

“Promise you’ll come upstairs and I will.”

“I can’t come upstairs with the lights off.” The basement is a maze of kegs and drains.

“I know you have the layout memorized.”

He’s not giving up today. He’s also not wrong, dammit.

“Fine. I’m coming up.”

He switches the lights back on and I trudge up the stairs.

Elder grins when I emerge. “Someone’s extra grumpy with a sprinkle of cranky on top today.” He rubs his hands together. “Why is the moon grumpy?”

I don’t respond. Nothing I can say will stop him and his stupid jokes. Trust me. I’ve tried.

“It’s just going through one of its phases.” He barks out a laugh at his own stupid joke. He does this a lot.

I ignore him. Or, rather, I try to. My twin does not enjoy being ignored. Unless he’s going to change after thirty-two years, which I don’t expect.

He bumps my shoulder. “What’s wrong? Does someone miss Eden?” he coos in a baby voice.

Eden is my nemesis. I don’t miss her. I don’t miss her long golden brown hair. Her smile that can light up any room she’s in. Her mischievous eyes.

She’s not my type. She’s a hippie flower girl who grew up in Winter Falls. She wears long flowing dresses and forgets her shoes half the time. I prefer sophisticated women who enjoy getting all dolled up in skintight dresses with spiky heels.

Eden isn’t interested in me anyway. I’m the man who’s out to ruin her business. I frown. Why am I the one who’s out to ruin her business?

Naked Falls Brewingis a joint venture between Elder and me. Why doesn’t she blame my twin for going after her business? She can’t possibly know I’m the one pushing for the expansion.

I glare at Elder. “No, I don’t miss Eden.”

“It speaks! It speaks!”

Why the hell did I agree to move to Winter Falls to go into business with him? I should have let him move here from San Diego on his own. I could be soaking up the rays now instead of freezing in the snow.

The door bangs open and Brody, Riley, and Peace file inside. Great. The Bragg brothers are all here. Except Damon. Our oldest brother refuses to leave San Diego. There’s something up with him, but I’m not one to pry. He’ll let us know what’s happening when he’s good and ready.

There are five Braggs all together. After Damon comes me and Elder. Riley and Brody are our baby brothers. Whereas Elder and I are fraternal twins who happen to resemble each other, Riley and Brody are identical twins.

Rounding out the Bragg brother family is Peace. Peace is actually a Sky and not a Bragg since he’s our half-brother. He’s also the reason we’re all living in Winter Falls.

To make a long story short, our dad admitted to cheating on our mom when he was dying. Considering Mom always claimed Dad could look at her and she’d get pregnant, we decided to search for any siblings we may have. Turns out Peace is our half-brother.

“What’s going on?” I ask them.

Riley rocks back on his heels and smirks. “I think you mean who’s got it going on.”

Brody feigns gagging. “Is Riley going to be annoying since he finally managed to convince Moon to give him a third chance?”

Peace grins. “My girlfriend loves me, and I’m not annoying.”
