We were silent on our approach to her room. I didn’t think we would alert her to anything, but we decided we needed to be careful. There was no sound coming from her room, making me wonder if she was even in there until I heard the faint sound of her breathing.

Zev motioned for Lucien to open the door. He was quiet in his approach, but I wanted her to hear us. It was dark in the room, taking only a few seconds for my eyes to adjust. I was impatient when he finally opened the door and I rushed ahead to see her sleeping on her side, looking gorgeous. She stopped me dead in my tracks for a moment, making me angry that she could disarm me so quickly. I grabbed her, jerking her forward before her eyes snapped open and she gasped.

“What the fu—”

She didn’t get to finish her sentence when I slapped a hand over her mouth. It was cute that she was trying to glare at me like it would intimidate me. I lifted her up ready to throw her over my shoulders, when she pushed me back with her feet making me let go of her. She landed on the bed, lunging for the side table. I reached for her again as she swiped a knife at me.

“Oh kitten, you think that is going to stop me?” I laughed.

While she was focused on me, Lucien walked carefully behind her but before he could reach her, she turned around and threw a knife at him. She threw herself off the bed turning around to throw another knife at us that sliced my arm.

Zev was ready for her. We had clearly underestimated her when she turned quickly to his right side jumping off the wall to land behind him, throwing another knife at us that we all had barely missed. Zev growled loudly, chasing after her first. Excitement coursed through me as I followed them out of the room. Something zoomed past me. I looked back to see Lucien dodge the knife that was now sticking out of the wall.

She was strong or trained by someone who was excellent in hand to hand and knife work. Zev was the fastest out of all of us so I knew he would catch up to her, but when I heard him growl again, he was on the floor with his face really red, holding his crotch in his hands.

She wasn’t afraid to play dirty. Lucien laughed at Zev as we ran past him.

“She’s feisty!” He roared with laughter, making me chuckle.

We couldn’t see her anymore but the sound of her footsteps were close. Since we knew every nook and cranny in our home, I wasn’t worried about losing her.

“Let’s corral her to the library,” I said, taking another way hoping she would hear me and go running in the opposite direction.

“Give up! You have nowhere to run,” I yelled, hearing her take the turn I wanted her to. “Come on kitten, we just want to talk.”

Lucien's laughter sounded malicious and dark.

“I’m going to get you little Belladonna,” he growled.

“Fuck you guys!” She yelled.

“Give up,” I said, as we reached the library.

A scream echoed as I came up to Lucien and the Belladonna on the floor. He had her pinned on the floor but she was bucking up, trying to do everything to get out of his grip. When I got close enough, I noticed she cut his cheek. Rage overwhelmed me. She had hurt him.

“Keep bucking up like that and you’re going to get me excited,” Lucien growled, but I saw that flush to his cheek and knew he was getting aroused. A picture of them rolling around together as he thrust himself inside of her made me growl not from anger but of intense longing. I needed to get it together, but she had clearly cast some sort of magic to have both Lucien and me craving her like this.

She stopped bucking, staring at him like she was trying to figure him out. That’s when I noticed what she was wearing. It was barely covering her breasts, thin straps came over her shoulder. Now I knew why Lucien was so red, you could see her hard nipples.

“Let me go,” she snapped, pulling on her hands.

“No,” I sneered, finally pulling my eyes from her non-existent clothes.

Her eyes snapped to me, and I felt Zev come up behind me. She stopped struggling against Lucien, looking even angrier. It was cute that she was still trying to look like this situation wasn’t making her nervous, but nothing told the truth like the erratic pounding of her heart. She was scared and I really liked it.

KATARINA

Ididn’t think I was going to use the knives I had laid out by my bed so soon. When I was being dragged out of the bed, all those years of training with Murphy really paid off.

I might come from a powerful family, but one thing my father never really skimped on was hand-to-hand combat. I could also shoot any kind of gun, even though they were frowned upon in the witch community, but my father wanted us to be prepared for any scenario and I guess it was even more imperative that I learned how to defend myself.

I was put through more training than anyone else. My training went as far as being kidnapped when I was a teenager to ensure I would be able to either stop from being taken or get myself out. No one was coming for me if I was ever taken.

The room was dark, so I couldn’t see very well at first, but the opened window gave me enough light to see it was Lucien and the other two guys. They underestimated me, which always happened, and I was grateful for it for once. It gave me an advantage that I used to get out of the room.

When I got to kick the one with yellow eyes in the balls, I was even more thankful for my training. He was intimidating, his presence alone made me want to hide or curl in a ball but goddess, he was fucking sexy as all hell.
