Her gaze lifts from the paper to my face. Tears well in her eyes. “You listed more than five things.”

“Math was never my strong suit.” Unable to withstand the power of her tears, I step forward, folding her into my arms. “I could list so many more things, but there wasn’t room on the page. I love you, Annie.”

Her lips stretch into a smile. “Will you come with me?”

“Of course. Where are we headed?”

“I don’t know,” she admits. “I’ve been in a haze the past few days.”

I chuckle. “Me too. I’m sorry for being a stupid idiot.”

“You’re forgiven.” She stands on her tiptoes, tilting her mouth toward mine.

As I lower my face to hers, I hesitate. “There’s something you should probably know about me before we travel together.”

“Hmmm,” she murmurs. “What’s that?”

“I’m a terrible flier,” I confess. “I have full-on panic attacks during landing. It’s not pretty.”

Her face splits into a deliciously wicked smile. “I think I know how to distract you,” she says, gesturing to the red wig. “Tatiana has something in common with Annie…”

I raise an eyebrow. “Oh, yeah?”

She licks open the seam of my lips, kissing me deeply as she unzips my pants. “She’s really good in bed.”
