Page 38 of Bleeding Hearts

I circle my already tender clit, letting my eyes fall closed. Images of Asher’s hand replace my own and I can’t help the moan that falls from my lips.

I slip a finger inside and circle faster, imagining with each stroke that it’s him.

I imagine his soft lips against mine, his rough fingers touching me, my hands stroking through his messy hair. I imagine him whispering filthy promises in my ear as I beg him for more.

I keep imagining until all I see, all I feel is him.

Heat builds in my core and before I know it, my back arches off the bed, and the strongest release I’ve had in as long as I can remember rolls through me.

I lie there silently, catching my breath as I come back to reality. Asher’s image still clear in my mind, a smirk on his face taunting me.

The worst part is, the taunting smirk my imagination has created is completely justified because that might have been the best orgasm I’ve ever given myself and it was just to the thought of him. I can’t even imagine what the real thing would be.

How am I supposed to look at him and act normally after I just got off to the thought of him?

Stupid Logan, making me think.

I grab the pillow that’s resting underneath my head and squish it into my face, letting out a silent scream.

Fuck.

CHAPTERELEVEN

Asher

“Hey, stranger.” Lo smiles at me as she walks into my room in the shop.

I turn around from where I’m sitting at my desk as she hops onto my stool next to the tattooing chair.

“Hey, what are you doing here?” I smile back at her.

It’s not out of the ordinary for Lo to hang around the shop on her days off, but she spends most of her time with Darla, the receptionist.

“I’m eating lunch with Kade before I have to head to the hospital for my shift, and I feel like we haven’t talked in a little bit, so I wanted to check in on you.” She smiles.

Logan and I became friends before Kade and her were even officially a thing and that friendship has stuck. She’s kind, but she also isn’t afraid to call you out on your shit. She’s been calling me out on mine since I met her.

Kade is really lucky she agreed to spend the rest of her life with his ass.

“Aw, you can admit you missed me.” I smile back at her, and she laughs. “How’s the old ball and chain treating you?” I ask.

“If he hears you referring to him as that, he might try to take a ball and chain to your head.” She laughs harder. “We’re really good.”

“The big day is coming up. Are you getting nervous yet?”

“You know, surprisingly, I’m not nervous at all.” She shrugs, her laugh dissipating. “I’m excited to take that step with him, tie my life to him, take his last name. Mostly, I’m just excited to be his wife and enter the next stage of our lives together.”

I stare at her, watching her eyes fill with that lovesick expression as she imagines it. It’s the same exact look he gets when he talks about her and I get why she isn’t nervous.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more perfect pair than the two of them.

“Well, if you change your mind, I know my loyalty is supposed to be to Kade, but I’m totally your guy if you need a getaway driver.”

“I don’t think that’ll be happening, but I appreciate the offer. I promise to return the favor to you on your wedding day.”

“No need. I don’t plan on getting married. You can repay me by making sure to shove the cake all over Kade’s face when you do the first-bite thing, like really get it up in there.” I laugh, but she just scrunches her eyebrows at me in concern.

“You don’t plan on ever getting married?” she asks.
