“Hello, beautiful,” Dan said, choking up as he touched her perfect little fingers. “I’m your dad.”
I loved this man so much. I lifted my hand up to his cheek, and he bent his head closer and kissed me.
“Baby Girl, this is your mom. She’s amazing, and you’re lucky to have her,” he said as he stroked her satiny soft hand.
“She looks just like you, you know. The dark hair and cute chin are all you,” he said.
“Rats. I was hoping she’d look like you,” I said wistfully. He gave me a playful whiff up the side of the head. He was confident enough about her that we could joke. I loved that about him.
“Hey, I’m going to need a sec, but how about we get started on baby number two pretty soon? Baby Girl needs a sibling.”
“I’d like that,” Dan said, his eyes crinkling at the corners in the way I loved so much.
“Now that we see our girl, it’s probably time to give her a name,” he said.
I nodded in agreement.
“Of the handful we picked out, which one do you think suits her?” he asked.
“If it’s all right with you, I have a different name in mind that I think is perfect,” I said, bringing my gaze back to the sweet baby.
He folded his arms across his chest. “You want to go off script, huh?”
“Yep.”
I softly stroked the downy dark hair on her head. “I’d like to name her Grace after your mom.”
Dan rocked back and tried to blink away his tears. “That,” he choked out, “means more to me than I could ever tell you. Thank you, sweetheart.”
He put his arms around me, sandwiching Grace in between us. I leaned into him, sighing contentedly. Not only did I have the man I loved, but now we were a family.

You have just finished Book 2 in the
Cooperstown Billionaire Series.
If you haven’t read Book 1, you can find it here –Falling for the Billionaire Next Door
It is also a standalone happily ever after!
He’s everything I don’t want—my brother’s grouchy best friend, a chain store billionaire, and a confirmed bachelor.
And he lives right next door to my Nana in the town I couldn’t wait to leave and never return to.
Hard pass.
Life was fine in New York City. I had a plan and I was working it, thank you very much.
Then life threw a wrench in my plan—several wrenches actually—and now I’m back in my old town playing nurse, surviving tornado warnings, and launching myself into a fake relationship with the hot billionaire.
Our fake relationship has rules though: no falling in love, and no benefits. That worked up until he caught me skinny dipping… and he couldn’t keep his hands off me.
To say the passionate encounter wasn’t amazing would be a big, fat, freakin lie.
There’s way more to Mr. Billionaire than I’d thought, and I want him for real.
My head knows this faux romance has an expiration date, and that’s a problem, because my heart says this is for keeps.
