“This one takes you to my apartment upstairs. Only I have access, so you’ll be safe here.” He guided me into the metal cage and pressed another button. The elevator rose quickly, coming to a sudden stop. The doors opened to a stylish apartment I hadn’t expected at the top of a bar. He placed his hand on the small of my back and led me out.
His apartment was five times the size of mine. It was an open floor plan with a stylish chrome kitchen. The living space was furnished with sleek black furniture and a large bed against one of the walls. A door led off to what I assume held his shower.
“This is nice.” I scanned the room again. My eyes bounced between him and the single bed. “But there’s only one bed.”
“I know.” Massimo walked into the kitchen and grabbed some whiskey from a cabinet. “You want one?”
I followed him into the kitchen. “Massimo, where am I going to sleep?”
He smiled, pouring the smooth liquid into two glasses. “The bed.” He lifted the drink to his lips, his eyes never straying from me.
I swallowed, my nerves flickering with worry. “And you?”
He set the glass down on the counter. “The bed.”
“What? No…”
The corner of his mouth quirked. “I’m kidding. I’ll take the couch.”
“That’s your bed. I can sleep on the couch. It’s nicer than mine, anyway. It’ll be fine.”
Massimo pushed the tumbler away from himself and stepped into my space. He placed a hand on my hip, tugging my body closer. His other hand pressed beneath my chin.
“You’re sleeping in my bed. That’s not up for debate. My mother raised me to be a gentleman. Now…” He dropped his hand from my face. “Have you eaten?”

MASSIMO
This girl wascrazy if she thought I was going to let her take the couch. I wasn’t kidding about sharing a bed with her, but the look of horror that crossed her face when I said it made me take the words back. I slept on the couch many times by accident, so I knew how comfortable it was. Nevertheless, she wasn’t going to be the one on it tonight.
“I could eat,” she smiled. “But you’ve already done enough for me.”
“Well, I’m hungry, too. I’ll order us something. Would you like to take a shower while we wait?”
Madison shuffled on her feet. “Um, would you mind?”
“Nope.” You couldn’t help smiling around her. Her innocence was refreshing in a world of corruption. “Let me show you how to work everything.”
She followed me into the bathroom. “Holy shit.” She stood there, mouth gaping as she took in the room.
I gave her a knowing grin. “Yeah, it’s pretty sick, isn’t it?” This was still my favorite room.
“I’ve never seen anything like this,” She whispered, moving further into the room.
I turned on the shower, setting the temperature to hot. “If it’s too warm, use this dial to adjust the temperature. Towels are in the cabinet there.” I pointed. “Use whatever you need. I’ll be in the living room.”
Forcing myself to leave, I left her alone and plopped down on the couch. Hearing the water running, knowing she was getting undressed on the other side of the door, left me uncomfortable. My dick was growing hard with visions of her smooth, naked skin beneath the water.
Slipping my phone out, I called down to the bar and asked Carlisle to send someone out for food. Disconnecting the call, I leaned my head back.
Why had I suggested she come here? It was going to be nearly impossible to keep my hands off her. The rattling of my phone on the table caused me to jerk upright.
“What?”
Donny grunted into the phone. “Sorry, Boss, but we found Jose.”
“Where?” I leaned forward and pressed my elbows to my knees.
