Age Sixteen
My knee burned, and blood slowly trickled down from the gash. Tears trailed down my face as the wind blew a bone-deep chill. Sniffling, I ducked into an alley, hiding behind a pile of boxes mixed with trash.
He can’t find me. He mustn’t find me.
Frantically I covered myself with the trash and boxes, hoping it would hide my scent enough so he couldn’t track me. The aroma was rancid, almost causing me to wretch, but I forced it down as adrenaline pumped through my veins.
I huddled down into the smallest ball I could and placed my palm over my mouth. An alpha like him could hear sounds from great distances. Or track the scent of an omega.
He couldn’t find me.Wouldn’tfind me.
I’d rather die than let him touch me again.
Bile rose in my throat at the thought of his hand sliding up my thigh. He’d crept in while the whole house was sleeping, thinking no one would be the wiser.
But I saw his lecherous gazes. Felt his evil eyes trailed over my body after discovering I was an omega.
Alphas like him wanted omegas, but they took rather than wooed. It was his plan—why he agreed to become a foster father along with his beta wife.
Find omegas as they emerge and abuse them with his sick, disgusting, alpha body.
Well, I wasn’t going to be another notch in his belt. So I swiped a knife from the kitchen table one night. Then hid it under my pillow, just waiting for the moment he made his move.
He didn’t think I was smart or brave enough to attack him.
The surprise etched on his face as the knife slid into his flesh would be enough to sustain me while I hid in the trash.
And for the rest of my life.
I was an omega.
But I would never be treated like a whore by an alpha again.

Ten Years Later
“Fuck!” I typed furiously on my keys, building my code to keep diving deep into the alpha-run finance company's firewall.
Of course, they made most of their money through an illegal omega trade market.
Scum like First Guardian didn’t deserve the money they possessed.
“Ha!” I screamed in triumph as I entered their system. They needed to invest in better cybersecurity. After the initial firewall, it was a breeze.
Now to work my magic.
I reviewed their hidden finances, seeing the large deposits from some of the most influential alphas in the United States.
Bile rising in my throat, I quickly moved the money into an offshore account and filed away the data in my private server.
After a few minutes, I sank back against the headrest of my chair. I breathed deeply, centering myself and trying to get my emotions under control.
