Aria hooks her legs around my waist, trying to pull me harder down onto her. I keep myself braced above her, not giving her an inch as she pulls back enough to glare at me.
“I’m pregnant, not made of glass. Fuck me.”
I laugh and kiss her again before thrusting hard into her. Aria’s back arches off the bed as her inner walls spasm. I groan and rock my hips faster, my cock throbbing inside her. Her nails rake down my back, scratching deeper as I bury myself to the hilt.
“Come for me,” I say, my voice husky as I thrust faster, driving myself deeper.
Aria’s pussy clenches hard around me, her back arching higher off the bed. She moans, her nails digging deep into my shoulder blades as her orgasm races through her. My own release follows, my cock throbbing until I fall to the bed beside her.
I roll onto my side and pull Aria into my arms, kissing her temple. I’m going to do what it takes to keep her safe. I’ve never loved anyone like I love her. And though I can’t admit that to her yet, I can at least admit it to myself. Because there’s no way I can deny my feelings for her anymore. I’m in love with Aria.
“I think it’s time for a nap,” Aria whispers as she buries her face into my chest.
“Have a nap. I’ll be right here when you wake up.”

When Aria gets outof the shower a few hours later, it’s clear that something is on her mind. She gets dressed before sitting in the chair by the window and looking at me.
“What’s wrong?” I ask, making myself a cup of weak coffee with the packets they have in the hotel room.
“I think it’s time we call my brothers and ask them for help. You know that Damien is already working against Dad and though Gio was there last night, Gio and Matteo have never been the biggest fans of what he is doing to the family.”
“I saw Salvatore in Italy. He took me outside and told me that he will kill us both if he ever sees us again. He tried last night, so I’m not looking forward to ever seeing him again. And though I think Damien is safe to trust, I don’t know that much about Gio or Matteo.”
“I know my brothers. Salvatore may have threatened you, but he wouldn’t have actually done anything. He had the chance last night and didn’t take it.” She rolls her eyes. “Besides, that isn’t even the first time Salvatore has threatened to kill me.”
“One of these days he’s actually going to do it.”
“He doesn’t have the balls.”
I shake my head. “You and I have very different opinions on what your brothers will and won’t do.”
“Then maybe you should listen to me since they’re my brothers and I know them better than you do,” Aria says, her tone rising slightly as she crosses her arms. “I know that you always want to see the worst in them, but I think they’d be able to help us. We need someone to.”
“I don’t think your brothers will help us more than they already have. They’ve already done a good deal of shit your father would be pissed to know about.”
“They’re also smart men who won’t allow themselves to be caught. I know there’s very little that Salvatore will likely help us with, but the other three have weaker connections to my father than you think. I need to meet with them and find out exactly what Dad is planning.”
“And what if you find out that he is going to kill you?”
I hate having to ask the question. The last thing I want to think about is her father being capable of killing her or our baby. I have a child that I have to consider. I know Aria thinks that her brothers will save her when it comes down to it, but I have my doubts about that.
Her brothers are family-oriented, but there is something to be said for the larger family that follows them. There are capos and soldiers working beneath them who are far more loyal to the cause than Aria is. Those are the people that they’ll choose when it comes down to it.
The money and the loyalty are what matters the most to men like her brothers.
“I need to talk to them, Tyson. I think that they’ll tell me what to expect. It’s the best chance we have at figuring out what’s going on.”
I sigh and run my hand through my hair. She isn’t going to drop this. While I think it will be good to get any information we can, I know it’s not going to end like she hopes.
“Tyson, this is our chance to get some solid information that we can give to the FBI. We tell my brothers exactly what we’re involved in. We tell them that letting Dad stay in power is dangerous. Damien takes over once Dad’s in jail. The FBI lets us go free because we gave them the information they wanted.”
“I don’t know about this,” I say, my stomach tossing and turning. “There are a lot of risks that we have to take.”
She nods and takes a deep breath. “Those risks have to be taken. They’re the best chance we have at becoming a family.”
Aria has a point, whether I like it or not. I don’t want to lose her or our baby. I promised her that I would do whatever I could to protect us. If she’s telling me that talking to her brothers might offer us protection, there’s only one clear answer.
