"Yes."
I stared at Cian. One word? The man had been talking nonstop since we'd gotten here. My stomach tightened.
"We'll be right back." Ronan kissed me deeply before he stepped back.
Finn left me with a kiss as well before they both walked away. As soon as the front door closed I sighed and turned back to Cian.
"You don't have to say anything," I said. "Emotions kind of make you uncomfortable, huh?"
Cian shrugged. "Maybe."
"Maybe?" I pushed.
Cian rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn't grow up in a touchy, feely household. I don't even remember having an attachment to my parents before they died." He shrugged. "So I don't know what it was like for your family."
"And that makes you feel weird."
"What is this? A goddamn therapy session?" He scoffed as he moved around me to the coffee maker. "Keep your stupid sweater. No one's gonna take it from you," he growled.
I smiled at his muscular back. Cian was sweet in a weird as heck way. Just the way he said it felt as if he would shoot anybody who even tried to take my sweater away from me.He'll be a good guard dog when we get back home. No one will ever be able to lay a finger on me.
Cian glanced over his shoulder. "Quit starin' at me!" He snapped, that thick Irish accent coming through. "Stop it already or I'll fuck you up, princess."
I grinned harder. "Do you promise Daddy?" I leaned forward more. "Will you force your cock in me and make me cry for you?"
A shudder passed over Cian. I laughed as I grabbed a mug and poured coffee into my cup. He was so predictable sometimes. I loved it.
Once I doctored my coffee, I moved to the couch and sat down. I had the whole day ahead of me and nothing to do. All of my chores were completed, I was sick of TV, and I was still banned from a phone. I wanted to call Sayge and the guys over, but my daddies had strictly forbidden it.
I'm so tired of lockdown.
Dealing with thoughts of my mom had made that old sadness come back. It creeped in, clenched me tightly, and refused to let go. I groaned as I laid on the couch face first.
Maybe I should just go to sleep. I can't be bored if I'm asleep.
"Hey."
I turned my head to look at Cian. "Yes, Daddy?"
"Want to go to the park?"
I jumped up and landed on my still sore ass from me and Finnian's last spanking session. "Ow!" I hissed and rubbed at my butt as I shifted my weight off of it. "We can leave the house?"
Cian shrugged. "I don't see why not? Nothing's been going on and the park is nearby. Besides, I'll shoot anyone if they start shit."
I rolled my eyes. "If you shoot someone then we're all going to jail."
"Fine. I'll strangle them."
I contemplated it for all of five seconds before I hopped up. "Okay!"
"We have to be back before those two though," Cian grunted. "I don't want to hear Finn's mouth."
"You love it when he lectures you," I pointed out. "It makes you go crazy because you know he'll bend you over and--."
"Enough," Cian growled. "Are you coming or not?"
I smiled at him. He was rough around the edges, but I could tell he wanted to make it up to me. I didn't have a problem with the fact that he couldn't express himself all the time. But I wasn't about to turn down a get out of jail free card either. I needed to stretch my legs, explore, do something other than stare at four walls or I would finally go insane.
