Finnian's eyes met mine in the rearview mirror. I grinned when he looked away first. Both he and Ronan acted like they were scared of me lately, I wondered why? My gaze turned to Cian. He stared straight ahead, his face impassive as the radio played. His darkish-brown hair was short on the sides and longer on top where it was pushed back. He had a beard and mustache too, but it was short compared to Finnian's. Tattoos covered his skin, snaking underneath the short sleeves of his shirt as they wrapped around his buff arms.

I wouldn't mind him bending me over either.

I fidgeted in my seat. I didn't mean to be a horny nightmare, but it was hard when I was surrounded by three hot as fuck men. Did they all annoy me? Hell yeah. Were they all sexy daddy material? Also, yeah. Finnian was a pain in the ass, but Cian was hot and Ronan wanted me. I knew he did even if he denied it every single day.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"To a house," Finnian answered.

"Where is it?"

He glanced in the rearview. "Have you been here before?"

I shrugged. "Not since I was a kid."

"Then what does it matter? We'll be there soon enough."

I glared at him. "Do you always have to be such a jerk?"

Finnian ignored me. Instead he turned up the radio. With no phone, I was left on my own. I slammed my back against the seat again feeling like a teenager. When was the last time I'd existed with no phone, no computer, nothing? It made me want to claw my own eyes out. How was I going to stay sane with no technology?

Ronan handed me a crossword puzzle. Reaching into his jacket, he pulled out a pen and passed that over too. I stared at him as I clutched the items. How the hell did he know I was bored?

"Are you hungry?" Ronan asked.

I nodded. "Fucking starving."

"You don't have to swear," he said as he winced. "Finnian, can we stop for food or will there already be something at the house?"

"Declan said there would be food already stocked, but we should get more shortly. Or I can run back and grab food. Jack doesn't need to be seen."

I gestured to the hoodie I wore. "Hello?" I asked as I pulled the hood over my head. "No one can see me. Come on, man. I want a burger."

"Come on, man," Cian mimicked me as he grinned at Finnian. "He wants a burger."

"Keep it up and I'll put you on the side of the road," Finnian said evenly. "I'm sure I can come up with a story for why your body was found in a ditch."

"Stop bickering like an old married couple and stop for something to eat. I want a shake too,” I added.

"You're not getting anything until we have you somewhere safe. Do you think this is a vacation?" Finnian snapped. "Right now is all about making sure you're out of harm's way. That's what your father wanted."

"Fuck him," I muttered. "He didn't want my help? I don't give a shit if he gets fucked up."

The car jerked to the right. We drove over bumps that rattled the car before it careened to a stop. Finnian's door opened before he reappeared by me, yanking open my door as I shoved myself away from him. Finnian's face hadn't changed, but as he grabbed my shirt and yanked me toward him, I froze.

"What did you say?"

I swallowed thickly. "Let me go."

Finnian yanked me forward. "Repeat your words," he growled. "Go on. Act like you have an ounce of balls and repeat what you said. I want you to."

Even though his face was calm, a fire burned in his eyes. I instinctively shrank away, trying to put distance between us even as rage filled my chest and threatened to spill over. All of them underestimated me. My father brought fear to people in less than a second, but I was just his weak, punk ass son. No one cared about me. No one feared me. I might as well be invisible.

"Get off!" I yelled at Finnian. "Fuck off already."

"Enough." Ronan removed Finnian's hand from my shirt. "He's hot, tired, overwhelmed, and hungry. Besides, we don't have time for this shit. Drive."

Finnian stared at him. "I'll decide when we drive and when we wait," he said calmly. "If you have a problem with that, let me know." When Ronan stayed quiet he turned his attention to me again. "I suggest you keep your mouth shut. Your disrespect won't be tolerated by me. Ever. Do I make myself clear?"
