"Do you regret coming to watch me?" Jack's body went rigid in my lap. His shoulder bunched up as he leaned slightly forward.

My arm went around Jack as I pulled him back against me. My lips burned to kiss and because I could, I gave in to the need, peppering kisses up and down the column of his neck. I didn’t stop until his shoulders dropped and he tilted his head to give me better access.

"There is no regret. I had no idea this is what would come out of it but even back then when Declan asked me to watch over you it’d been a blessing."

"You didn't like killing?"

This was the question I'd been afraid of. I hesitated as I tried to come up with my answer.

"He loved it," Cian said. He plopped down on the single chair in the living room with a beer in his hand. Our eyes met and all I saw was the insanity.

Jack turned around in my lap and met my gaze blocking Cian. "Daddy?" He was too adorable to resist.

"Yes, I liked it."

"Then why did you give it up?" Jack's brows dropped and scrunched together. I reached up and smoothed them out.

"Because I didn't want to like it."

Jack turned all the way around and straddled my lap. "You didn't want to become like Daddy Cian?"

"Hey! What the fucks wrong with me?"

"You're crazy," I said.

"You're an eejit," Finnian added.

"I'm just fucking creative and fun unlike you two. Isn't that right, princess?" Cian winked at Jack and instantly the boy's face was flushed.

"I like that he's crazy," Jack whispered.

"Your taste in men has always been questionable." I shook my head at Jack. Remembering all the guys I'd chased away left a sour taste in my mouth. None of them had been worthy of my boy.

"Yeah, he's always gone after those pussy boys with fake power. No way in hell they'd be able to make you cum."

I went still at Cian's words.

"Cian, you make it sound like you've been watching Jack," Finnian said.

"Yeah, Daddy Cian." We all stared at the psycho of the group.

He draped one leg over the other and leaned back on the chair. A devilish smile on his face. "We were talking about Ronan."

"Now we're talking about you," Finnian said.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cian had watched Jack but I was impressed the nut job hadn't acted until now if that was the case. Cian was compulsive; he went after what he wanted and it was either handed to him or he took it.

"You waited?" I asked.

Cian's blue eyes flicked up to mine and then back down to Jack. They softened slightly. "It's time for me to go surveil the area.

"Don't start anything with the neighbors again."

"They keep their nosy asses to themselves, and I won't have to shoot them," Cian said.

Finnian pinched the bridge of his nose. "We are here secretly. Don't draw unnecessary attention to us."

The garage door slammed shut before the sound of the garage opening reached our ears. Cian was good at his job but he was a loose cannon.
