"Different how?" Ronan asked, a frown on his face.

"Just different!" Jack huffed as he pulled his plate toward him. "I don't know how to describe it."

"Watch your tone," I growled.

Jack glanced away before he looked back at us. "I just know they have a Daddy. They don't go into details or anything. Sometimes Sayge talks about them being in trouble or..." His face flushed.

"Or what?" Ronan asked.

"Or Dar talks about how good the sex is," he muttered.

Ronan and I exchanged a look. We were around the same age. I wasn't totally sure Ronan wasn't a virgin by the way he acted, but I'd definitely been around the block a few times. I'd seen my share of Daddy stuff, but I had never indulged in it. I was nothing like those soft men that cradled their boys and told them they were perfect even while they ran their mouths and misbehaved. I much preferred a well-behaved boy, even if I had to break a brat to get to that side of him. The thought of taming Jack made me heated all over again.

"Hey," I said as I placed a water bottle beside Jack's plate. "Eat up."

"Okay."

Yes, Daddy. That's what I want. I want you to say it while you look up at me with those big, brown eyes.

Jack stopped with a forkful of food halfway to his mouth. Slowly, he put it down.

"What?" He asked.

"About yesterday," I said, trying not to think about how cute he looked with his head tilted to the right. "It's not that I don't want to be here, watching over you," I said slowly. "I just want all of us to stay here, for things to be quiet, and then to go back home when we're done. Okay? It has nothing to do with you specifically."

Jack frowned. "Are you sure you don't just fucking hate me?"

"Language, Jack," Ronan groaned.

I let out a laugh by mistake and swallowed it. "No, I don't hate you. I think you're a brat that needs to be taught how to behave, but hate is a strong word. If I hate anyone, it's Cian."

"I heard that!" He called.

"Where even are you?"

"In the bathroom!" He yelled back. "But I have my phone and cameras everywhere."

I stiffened. "Isn't there a bathroom in your room?"

"Yep, but I like messing up yours!"

Jack burst out laughing and quickly covered his mouth. Even Ronan glanced away trying to hide the grin on his lips.

I was going to kill all of them.

CHAPTER NINE

CIAN

The sun wasout cooking anything dumb enough to be outside. I sucked in a breath and regretted it instantly. The dryness in the air made it so much worse. I fucking hated Arizona; it was official. Ronan and Finnian only left a little while ago. I made my way inside, needing water and something to fix my shit mood. Sweat dripped down my back and sides. My shirt soaked up and clung to me like a second skin. The moment the air conditioning hit my overheated flesh, a chill raced down my spine. It wasn't enough to erase my shit mood.

Music played from the living television filling the house with the latest pop music. I headed for the kitchen needing some water. The moment I saw Jack, I stopped dead in my tracks. The sight of Jack swinging his hips back and forth as he washed dishes was mouth-watering. His slender waist dipped as he shook his ass to a sped-up part of the song. Now I'm hot, tired, thirsty, angry, and hard.I licked my lips as I pulled open the fridge. I didn't take my eyes off of him for a single second as I grabbed a bottle of water. I downed half of it without realizing it. I was too busy watching Jack.

He was unaware of me still even as the song changed. His dance movements changed but he didn't once turn around. If I was there to kill him, it would be so easy to get behind him and drag my knife over his throat. What would he do? Cling to life or cry out in anger? So many possibilities, but I couldn't kill the boss's son. Even I wasn't that crazy.

I moved behind him more. His movements slowed a little. My lips tilted up in a smile. Maybe he wasn't hopeless. I pressed two fingers against the back of his head.

"Bam! You're dead, princess."
