There was hardly anything he didn’t have or couldn’t have, and yet his eyes always seemed empty.
I heard somewhere that men didn’t fall in love after making money. It could have been the same for Adam.
I didn’t have any romantic feelings for him, but that didn’t stop me from praying for him...
I hoped… prayed… that my kind-hearted yet grumpy boss would find someone who would make him stop all this fucking around.
At one point I had given up; as long as he wasn’t dating any of the staff, I could turn a blind eye to it.
But… his smile started to appear more and more genuine.
And it was because of Dr. Crystal Richards.
He had the face of a teenager that finally got the chance to hold hands with his crush. Honestly, it was adorable.
But… he did promise not to touch a staff member.
Then again, I’m not one to talk.
“Why are you telling me all this?” Sarah asked.
She was smiling and stretched out on my bed.
“You do know you’re guilty of doing the same thing as your boss, right?” she asked as she turned to her side, lying on her stomach.
Her black hair covered her face. My eyes scanned her naked form; she shook her bubble butt…I swallowed hard.
“My case is different,” I said as I lay next to her, “You and I keep our relationship out of the office. As for why I’m telling you…” I paused and moved her hair away from her face, then kissed her lips softly, then did the same to her right ear as she giggled softly. Her cheeks turned red, “I’m just telling you because you’re a good listener.”
“Crystal said the same thing about me,” she said with pride.
“It’s one of the many things I love about you,” I said as I stroked her hair.
“What are the others?” she smirked.
“Allow me….” I started to say as my hand trailed down her back and rested on her ass, “To show you.”
I mean, Crystal and Adam were free to find their happiness. But I just wished they’d be more careful.
That idiot… I did tell him not to involve the new staff.
Adam
Crystal and I were together in my office. Don’t worry, this time it really was work-related. My office door was wide open and all.
We were reviewing her performance reports and I was giving her some advice going forward as an independent doctor.
However…
“You don’t seem all into this,” she sighed.
“Hmm? I am, I am,” I said as I scrolled down at the document she had sent me. It contained the past hospitals she had worked in, and the prospective ones for when she would leave me… I mean, when she would leave my hospital, that is.
“I just think you can become a permanent worker here,” I admitted, “I can increase your pay and give you a better position. Anything. I can even…”
“Adam,” she interrupted me, “I don’t want favoritism.”
“It’s not, you’re a talented doctor and…”
