"But a suitor?" I groaned as I turned off the lights and left the office.

I locked the door and found Sarah then handed her the keys. She bade me goodbye and I did the same.

"What's gotten into you? I thought there was a Harold or something in your life?" She asked, "Just ask him then."

Harold?

With everything that had happened between myself and Adam, I hadn't really thought about Harold.

The thought of him hadn’t even crossed my mind.

I was slower in replying to his texts, and we hadn't even talked to each other on the phone since the last time.

My mind was occupied with work and Dr. Adam Hunt’s magical fingers and tongue.

“Oh yeah, him,” I said as I realized that the silence had stretched beyond the expected time.

“You even sound scatterbrained. Is work going on okay? Or are the both of you not communicating properly?” She asked, “Or… have you perhaps found someone else?”

The image of Dr. Adam Hunt having his way with me with my hands pinned against the wall came to mind.

"No, there isn't," I denied.

"Hmmmmmm? Reallyyyyyyy?" She knew something was up and if I spoke longer, she'd get all the information she needed.

"If that's everything, then I'll be hanging up. I'm on my way home; are you there?" I asked.

"No, at a friend's place," she replied.

"Figured."

"Don't 'figured'me. You're never home, so how would you understand how I feel?" She asked with a fake sob.

"Why are you trying to sound like we're a married couple?" I sighed as I exited the hospital.

I decided to just get a taxi instead of walk, since it was windy.

"Maybe we actually are," she replied, "So what do you say to the blind date suitor? If you don't want him, can I have him?"

"Knock yourself out."

"Yayyy! I love you, niecey."

"I love you too, aunty," I said before hanging up.

The cold air wasn't what I had expected. There were no taxis in sight and the bus station was ten minutes away.

I decided to take the bus and started heading down.

"A suitor, huh?" I sighed.

I knew I needed to settle down soon, but the person who seemed to tug on my heartstrings the right way was a player who definitely had no time for marriage or settling down.

I didn't want to bother myself with someone like that. But… if there was a chance…

My thoughts were interrupted by a cold droplet of water that hit my nose. I looked up and the rain began to pour.

I decided to run since the bus station was only five minutes away.
