Left to right.

 Out to the water.

 Then up toward the street.

The rain picked up even harder.

“Whatever,” I heard a voice say. “Good luck with the storm. Idiots.”

Anna glanced up at me. “I think we’re the idiots.”

 She smiled at me.

We were way more than just idiots.

 I kissed her.

How the fuck can I not kiss her right now?

 My lips brushed against hers.

 They were slightly salty.

 I kissed her more.

 Deeper.

 Our tongues wrestling and flirting.

She grabbed the sides of my shirt, pulling at me.

I pulled her out of our little hiding spot between the rocks.

We were pelted by the rain.

 We didn’t care.

We took a second or two to just stare at each other.

I grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her closer again.

 This time for good.

And I said something that had been on the tip of my tongue for years.

 “You’re all mine, Anna.”

 We run in the rain.

 Holding hands.

The lightning and thunder are getting a little dangerous.

This is stupid being on the beach right now.

 We get to my car.

 She reminds me she’s soaked.
