I moved away from the door.
I strutted through the hotel room and smirked when I saw the bed.
When I glanced back at Riff, he shook his head.
“Are you really going to make me leave?” I asked.
“Do you really think you’re going to spend the night here?”
I jumped for the bed and crashed down on it.
I sank right down.
“What is the plan here, Fi?” Riff asked.
“The plan is you’re going to get my bag out of the hallway,” I said.
“What?” Riff yelled.
“I brought a bag. Did you really think I didn’t plan this out?”
“You drove all the way here…”
I held my hand up. “I got what I wanted. Now I get to crash in a hotel room.”
“You’re spending the night.”
“Unless you kick me out,” I said. “Think you can do that?”
Riff turned away from me.
I heard him open the hotel room door.
It shut again with a thud.
The lock latched.
Riff tossed my bag toward the bed.
“Thank you, Griffin,” I said.
“Don’t even try the cute voice stuff on me.”
“Come on. Have a little fun with me.”
“We just did. I had you pinned against the door and was inside you.”
I nodded. “True.”
We were quiet for a second or two.
Then I pointed to the large windows. “Balcony.”
“Yeah.”
“Nice place here.”
“It’s a hotel. I sleep here. That’s it.”
