Demi excused herself and walked away.

Fiona stared up at me.

I fully expected her to slap me across the face.

She didn’t.

“That was fun,” I said. “You have to admit it.”

“I didn’t think she’d hang it up. I wanted to show off a little.”

“Oh, you’re showing off,” I said. I stepped toward the painting. “I think this line right here…” I touched the canvas. “I think this is the exact moment you climaxed.”

Fiona grabbed my wrist.

Instead of pulling my hand away, she moved it a few inches to the right.

“This is the spot where it happened,” she said.

I looked at her.

I almost started to blush.

“I’ve got to go, Fi,” I said. “Quick flight north.”

“I know.”

“Just wanted to see you again. Say goodbye.”

“Okay. Say it.”

“Goodbye, Fi.”

“Goodbye, Riff.”

I leaned down and kissed her.

An actual goodbye kiss.

Her eyes went wide.

“Hey,” I said. “You have my condo to yourself. One rule though.”

“What?”

“No other men. No fucking around in there. Got it?”

“That’s the rule?” Fiona asked. “I thought you were going to tell me to paint naked and send you pictures.”

“Um, that’s a great rule too,” I said. “I’ll add that one on. But the first one still applies. No dudes in my condo.”

“So you’re telling me I have to be committed to just you?”

“That’s right, Fi,” I said. “You’re all mine.”

“Then you better hurry back from your little hockey road trip. I can’t wait forever.”

“But you will wait for me, right?” I asked with a wink.
