Cale’s lips traveled up my neck and to my jaw, making me feel good in a way that made my abdomen pull and sent an electrifying feeling through me and out my mouth.
I hastened the speed of my hips against him, pulling him closer as I ground against him.
Perhaps it was the heat between us, but as that pull in my stomach built, something possessed me, and my lips caught his in a passionate kiss. I was lust-filled, driven mad by the fire between us, and I kissed him so deeply that I groaned.
Cale’s arms tightened around me, pressing me closer and returning that same fire as he took my bottom lip into his mouth.
All the fucking things that make me want to . . .
Letting out a guttural moan, I grabbed a fistful of his hair and pressed him against my chest as I spilled my seed between us.
Warm liquid spurted from him, mixing with mine against our stomachs. I groaned against his neck, the pleasure pulsing, and I sucked air through my teeth, rocking my body against him like some filthy animal, despite having been reserved around him only ten minutes ago.
Sitting up, I looked down at him, his stomach and chest wet with both our seed. My cock twitched against his, softening after being spent. I brought my hand up to his mouth and brushed my finger across his lips like before, and he took it into his mouth.
I pushed two of them inside, enjoying the feel of his tongue against them. I imagined them in another place. That would have to wait.
Pulling away, I sighed before getting up and cleaning us off. Then I hesitated, and he looked at me as he sat on the edge of the bed.
“That was . . . amazing.” Cale let out a breath.
Clearing my throat, I pulled my trousers on and nodded. “Yes, it was.”
“Are you going to leave now?” His face fell.
I stared at him for a long moment as I took up my shirt. But I didn’t put it on. Instead, I tossed it on the bed and sat beside him. I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers. “No, I’ll stay for a bit.”
“Can I kiss you some more?”
My eyebrows perked up. No one had ever wanted to keep kissing me after intimacy. I nodded and laid down beside him.
He wrapped his arms around me, still fully bare, and kissed me deeply, sweetly. His hands smoothed up my arms, into my hair, down my back, each touch burning me.
I kissed him until I had to stop to catch my breath, and I looked down at him in wonder, intrigued by how he wanted to keep going.
“Thank you,” he whispered.
I nodded, smiling crookedly. “I’m assuming . . . you’ve done that before,” I said.
“Well, yes, but not many times. Only with one other person.”
“The one who turned the other villagers against you?” I cocked my head.
“Yes.” He laid his left arm up above his head and sank back into the pillow with a sigh.
In the dim light, I could see the sharp line of his jaw as it ran into his neck. His hair was damp, messy, and his skin was blooming with lovebites that I didn’t even remember leaving. His dark eyes looked up at me, and a smile formed on his lips.
“What is it?” Cale asked.
“You,” I started, trying to refrain from saying my next words, but I couldn’t help myself. “You’re so beautiful.”
He blinked, his mouth falling open, as if he wanted to say something back. Instead, he raised up and kissed me again, and like a fool, I melted into him. My body heated up once more, and before I could stop myself, I pulled my trousers back off.
WhenIwokeupthe next morning, I laid my hand over on the bed to touch Gil, but he was gone. Sighing, I remembered he’d left as I was falling asleep. I was surprised he’d even stayed as long as he did, but I suppose with me begging him to stay, he gave in for a little while.
Thinking of what we’d done last night—him, a lord, and me, some worthless kitchen knave who couldn’t even read when I came to his manor—I bit my lip and smiled. When I had first met him, I never would have imagined he’d be capable of being so affectionate. Yet he’d managed to kiss every part of me and touch me in a way that made my whole body feel on fire.
When I set out to help Royce with breakfast, I hoped I’d see Gil in the hallway, or perhaps loitering around the library as he seemed to do lately, but to my dismay, he wasn’t anywhere around.
