Charlize,

My office.

Now.

And with that,I think I have an answer to my earlier thought.

I think Owenismy boss.

He certainly feels very bossy right now.

I push my chair back and stand. I have no idea where his office is, but I figure it’s somewhere in this building, so I begin my search.

It doesn’t take me long to locate him. The glass surrounding him helps. Most of the offices here have walls and doors that give privacy, but Jill’s office and the three offices that are the furthest from hers are made completely of glass. As soon as Owen’s office comes into view, I meet his gaze.

He watches me walk his way.

And when I say watch, I mean his eyes do not leave mine for even a second.

The twenty steps I take to get to him might be some of the hottest steps of my life. I mean, there he is sitting behind his large desk, with those undone buttons of his, that sexy beard of his, those blue eyes I can’t get enough of, and those strong hands I’ve thought far too much about. Owen is the actual sexiest man I have ever met, and he doesn’t have to do a thing but watch me to get me hot.

He stands as I draw closer and opens his door. He says something to his assistant, and she nods before going back to her computer. He then gives all his attention to me again, stepping back and ushering me in when I reach him.

The office door gliding shut is the last sound I hear before Owen and I are enclosed in his office, alone.

His hand comes to the small of my back. “Take a seat.” It’s a deep murmur, and while he only says three words, it’s like his eyes are saying a million as he looks at me.

I sit, watching as he rounds the desk and sits across from me. I can still feel his hand on my back. “Do you order all your new employees to your office?”

“Only the ones who are insubordinate.”
